This week, for the first time in nine years, the exile arrives at the establishment’s door, spilling the secrets of our institutions.

Black Moon Lilith is a point in our sky that in myth represents the first woman, the one who refused an arrangement she never consented to, and was cast out and demonised so that nobody would ever listen to what she knew. This week, she enters Capricorn - the sign of the establishment: governments, corporations, courts, parties, dynasties, reputations - and stays for nine months, and to get a taste of what she’s here to do, we only need look back at what she’s done in Capricorn before.

This is the transit that delivered the Wall Street Crash in 1929, Rosa Parks’ refusal in 1955, the Watergate tapes in 1973, the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, and Bernie Madoff’s two sets of books in 2009, and oversaw the downfall of Harvey Weinstein and the rise of the MeToo movement in 2018. Every nine years, on schedule, she makes the world’s buried records speak.

And she’s already begun her work. Last week, with Lilith standing at the very last degree of Sagittarius, the truth-teller’s sign - the exact place she stood when the Weinstein story broke - a researcher resigned from Anthropic and told 70 million people that the AI industry is “gambling with our lives.” Right on schedule, the lone voice has spoken, and Lilith’s nine months calling up what’s been buried starts now, and the list of who and what she’s coming for is long.

She opens, this very week, on the chart of Ghislaine Maxwell. Before October is out she’s touched Mark Zuckerberg, Stephen Miller, Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively, Pam Bondi, Todd Blanche, Sam Altman, OpenAI, Mossad and the Russian Federation. November and December bring Elon Musk, then Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, along with a three-way alignment between Russia, Ukraine and Britain.

The new year grinds through the institutions themselves: the FBI, the Federal Reserve and Jerome Powell, Volodymyr Zelensky on his own birthday, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Les Wexner, the Democratic Party, Germany and the EU. And from April the bill arrives - Jeff Bezos, Thomas Massie, Benjamin Netanyahu, RFK Jr, Mike Johnson, Mike Lindell, the Republican Party, China and the United States’ own Pluto - with Jeffrey Epstein’s chart, the dead man’s records, struck right in the middle of it. The Epstein files run through this entire transit like a spine.

And underneath it all, the land Down Under is rocked by Lilith across a range of charts, from the Prime Minister, to the ruling Labor Party, to Australia's answer to Trump - Pauline Hanson - and her One Nation party, right down to its police force and its prosecutors - a nation-wide reckoning, top to bottom.

And Lilith’s coming for each of us too - because Capricorn claims a corner of every chart, and every one of us has at least one structure built on something unsaid. If you’re born under Capricorn, Cancer, Aries or Libra, it’s worth a look at your chart, because Lilith would like a word, and if you were born between 1988 and 1996, this transit is generational - she crosses that whole cohort’s Capricorn planets. Twenty-five years ago this Friday, the disruption came out of a clear blue sky. This Thursday, on the eve of that anniversary, the sky’s own disruptor marks the moment with a shock of its own that will be felt across nations, by world leaders, and by each of us in our own lives.

This week starts quiet, but it finishes loud.
It’s time to brace for the incoming shock.

Uranus - the planet of lightning, revolution, and the change nobody scheduled - has been moving through Gemini, the sign of the mind, since April, and on Thursday - an anniversary of its own, marking one year since the killing of Charlie Kirk - it stands completely still and starts running backwards. A planet standing still is a planet at full volume, and Uranus running backwards is the planet of disruption turning back toward whatever it already disrupted.

Decisions get undone.
Deals collapse.
Cases that were closed get reopened.
People who were in are suddenly out.

And because it’s happening in Gemini, it comes through words and wires - a leak, a hack, an outage, a document, a resignation, a market lurching on a headline.

Then, hours later, Friday’s New Moon lands on the spot where the Sun stood over New York on the morning of September 11, 2001. The disruption in the sky, on the twenty-fifth anniversary of the disruption in the sky.

The sky is very specific about who takes the shock this week. The chart it’s circling most heavily of all belongs to King Charles, and the House of Windsor. The US Justice Department also takes multiple hits - Kash Patel, Todd Blanche and even Pam Bondi all feel this one personally. The Epstein files light up across a dozen charts at once, through the one man in Congress with nothing left to lose. The shock lands inside the White House, most heavily on the chart of Melania Trump. The Treasury Secretary gets cornered. The Mayor of New York takes it the night before he stands at Ground Zero. California, Newsom, Shapiro and Ocasio-Cortez all take it, and abroad, the sky turns away from Israel and Iran for the first time in months and points instead at China, Brazil, Australia, Russia, France, Hungary, Pakistan, Cuba and Canada, whose counter-tariffs bite on Tuesday.

And the shock is coming for each of us too. If you’ve got anything in your own chart near five degrees of Gemini - or of Sagittarius, Virgo or Pisces, the points the station presses on from across the sky - Thursday is yours. If you were born at the end of May, that’s your Sun right there. Most of us will feel it as weather, wired and restless and sleeping badly for no reason we can name, but some of us will feel it as an event. Most weeks of this loud, jangled year have been noise. Threats that evaporate, announcements that come apart minutes after they’re announced, the same story pushed through different mouths until we’re all too tired to check it.

This week is a different animal.

There are three main transits in the week ahead, and by a quirk of the sky, all three happen on the same degree, which is why the week reads like one story in three movements:

The gift.
The wall.
The ledger.

On Monday the sky delivers the only exact Jupiter–Saturn trine of 2026, and Jupiter–Saturn is the signature for things that actually get DECIDED. Whatever gets signed, founded or formalised in the next few days is going to be with us months from now, long after the news cycle has wandered off to something shinier. This is one of those rare weeks where the theatre stops and the machinery moves.

And this trine cuts both ways. A visionary can use it to find the structure that makes the dream real, and a strongman can use it to find the constitution that keeps him on the throne. The sky hands staying power to whoever is standing at the table with a pen.

So the question the entire week turns on is the one the eclipse left hanging in the air a fortnight ago: who’s holding it, and by whose consent?

I’ve run the trine against the charts of the powerful this week, and it turns out it favours multiple power players - the gift lands close to the top of the pyramid, and one of them catches it so precisely, and so personally, that whatever gets built this week his chart says he’s the one it holds up.

Then Tuesday arrives and Mars in Cancer square Saturn in Aries slams a wall in front of everybody who tried to simply FORCE it. Where Monday rewards the pen, Tuesday punishes the fist. Expect the strange sight of both in the same news cycle, a structure quietly succeeding while a strongman loudly fails.

And then the quiet third act, which might be the one that matters most. Mercury in Virgo - the ledger, the records, the receipts we’ve been watching since the eclipse - opens an ordinary-looking door to Mars on Tuesday afternoon, and paper starts to move. A filing. A subpoena. A document released the day after the stand-off. An investigation that turns from paperwork into an arrest. Whatever gets blocked at the wall finds its way onto the page by Tuesday night, and ledgers, once opened, stay open.

Order, then rage, then receipts. If we feel tossed around by it, that’s the week working exactly as designed.

Under a microscope, this is going to look like a week where the people imposing power from above are winning. Look through the telescope instead and Pluto is sitting underneath every one of those expanding states, taking the foundations apart while the surface gets grander. Empires build their grandest walls last. The sky uses whoever's standing closest to the wrecking ball, and the men who look untouchable this week are standing closer to it than anyone.

Friday brings a lunar eclipse in Pisces, and it’s the last one we’ll see in that sign for years to come. That alone would be worth our attention, but there’s something much bigger happening underneath it - the Node just walked out of Pisces last Tuesday, and an eclipse landing right as the Node leaves a sign is like the sky closing a final chapter before beginning a brand new book.

The book we’ve been living in opened in January 2025, days before Trump’s inauguration, when the Node first arrived in Pisces and the shared story went underwater. Eighteen months of fog, where information arrived faster than anyone could verify it and truth and rumour tangled together until the sorting became exhausting. Four lunar eclipses have charted that story - Virgo, Pisces, Virgo, and now Pisces again, the ledger and the ocean taking turns - and when you lay the first three out beside the news of their weeks, three very clear lessons come out of them. I’ve written all of it up this week, because I think those are the lessons of the whole era, and Friday is our chance to close the book on them properly.

Because a new one opens immediately. The Node has moved into Aquarius with the South Node into Leo - the sign of the many facing the sign of the king - so for the next eighteen months every single eclipse falls on the axis of collective will against personal rule. If the Book of Fog asked us what’s real, then the one that’s opening now asks us who decides, and in the very week it opens, the Node crosses Donald Trump’s Ascendant–Descendant axis exactly, laying the collective compass right along his horizon, with the release point on the crown and the growth edge on the crowd.

There’s far more to this eclipse than just his chart, though. This is a sky determined to rupture the charts of the powerful. The eclipse strikes the charts of former Prince Andrew and King Charles as well as a whole roll call of names once associated with Jeffrey Epstein. American lawmakers and the people who run law enforcement light up hard, as does the Vatican, California, Canada, Iran and Russia. I’ve laid it all out in detail below.

And beyond what’s happening on the world stage, there’s the other half of it too - the fog we’ve been living through was personal as well. Something in each of our lives has dissolved since January 2025, a certainty or a plan or a role or a story about ourselves that stopped holding water, and this week is our chance to name it and let the tide carry it out. This eclipse is the last of the Pisces water moving through, and our only task is to feel rather than flee.

Last week’s eclipse put the lights out on the king’s frequency - the era of power concentrated at the top, wielded as spectacle, channelled through one very large personality at the apex of the pyramid. This week, the sky picks up where it left off and asks us to consider that if that model of power is ending, then what’s rising in its place.

The answer, unequivocally, according to the sky, is a hive. Power spread horizontally across a field of equals, with no one above or below. That’s where Pluto in Aquarius has been heading for years now, and this week the sky brings it right up close and personal.

Saturday is the week’s real centre of gravity, when the Sun looks across the sky at the Nodes, like the past looking across to the future, and asks itself what kind of heart will be required to build the world that comes next.

For once, it’s a quiet week sky-wise - almost completely still. But stillness has its own kind of weight, and even when we can’t see it, below the surface, something is forming: a structure of things to come, taking shape in the dark. The sky’s not asking for action this week, or for anything to be made to happen. It’s just simply asking us to be with what is, and trust the quiet.

This week, the sky goes dark as a total solar eclipse sweeps across Greenland, Iceland, northern Russia, the Atlantic, Spain, and a corner of Portugal on Wednesday - the first to touch mainland Europe this century. It lands in Leo, the sign of the king, on the same day Mercury faces Pluto across the sky: the messenger of information in direct opposition to the planet of secrets and what’s been buried beneath the surface.

This eclipse fires directly through the natal charts of the men who have defined this era of world power - Trump, Putin, Netanyahu, King Charles - landing on the exact place in each of their charts where authority lives, and where the sky is now asking what it’s cost. This is the eclipsing of an old form of power, making way for something new.

But the eclipse isn’t arriving to usher in a better king. What’s being retired is the model itself, and what comes next doesn’t come from the top - it rises from below, one person at a time, in the choices each of us makes when no one’s watching.

Because Leo is also the sign of the heart, and there’s a question inside this eclipse about which version of the heart we’ve each been living - the one that performs, or the one that simply is.

This week, our feeds will do that thing they do every August as the golden lions arrive. There will be portal announcements and breathless declarations that the 8th day of the 8th month is the moment Sirius aligns with the Sun in Leo and cosmic frequencies pour through and the number 8 amplifies everything, because the veil is thin and the gate is open and we should set our intentions accordingly.

And most of us will be sitting mid-scroll holding a question we dare not say aloud: how much of this is actually real?

I want to answer that question properly this week, because beneath the internet hype and modern construction of the Lion’s Gate lies something genuinely meaningful that goes back thousands of years, to the lions that have guarded every threshold humans have ever built - from the walls of Babylon to the temples of Egypt, where Sekhmet stood lion-headed and solar-fired, the goddess of sacred rage and purification, in stone that predates the modern calendar by millennia. Something that the modern mystics who assembled the Lion’s Gate in the 1990s were half-reaching for without quite knowing what they were reaching toward.

And this particular year, that something doesn’t just point backward into history - it points forward into a sky that is about to become extraordinary.

Because the event of this week may be the Lion’s Gate, but what arrives four days later is the real star of the show this month, when a total solar eclipse opens the Leo sky and begins a two-year sequence that ends with one of the longest eclipses in living memory drawing a line of darkness directly through the Nile Valley - through Luxor, through the Valley of the Kings, through the greatest lion landscape on Earth - at next year’s Lion’s Gate.

The sky this week is not celebrating a portal - it’s holding its breath before something significant begins.

Who would have ever suspected that the journey from the old world to the new would be so utterly exhausting?

Back at the start of the year, as we welcomed in the Genesis Reset - Saturn and Neptune’s unprecedented meeting in Aries that ignited the seed of a new world - many expected this would bring a swift end to the chaos and corruption we have seen in our world. That it would cut it off at the knees, and give rise to something better, and that we’d see it now, this year, emerging before our eyes.

What we have found instead is that we are being slowly worn down by a bombardment that never seems to pause. Protections built over lifetimes dismantled in an afternoon. The land, the animals, the elections, the wars. Another morning, another thing we love being taken apart while we watch. And underneath it, we are all asking the same exhausted question: when does this end? Does it have to be this destructive? Will it really take years to get where we’re going? Will we even get there at all?

This week, the sky answers clearly, speaking with rare clarity, and holding both halves of the truth at once, the hard one and the hopeful one, and it will not let us have either without the other.

The hopeful half is that this is a Fire Horse year, the first since the sixties, and this week the sky turns and speaks directly to that old dream. Sixty years ago, thirty thousand people put flowers in their hair and sang the Age of Aquarius into the air with a bone-deep certainty that a new world was arriving, and in the years since, many have lost hope that the vision for that world was wrong. But the only thing wrong was the timing. The seed they planted went underground and waited for the sky to be ready to hold it.

And this week that sky arrives, as the Sun dances in one day with three outer planets, then joins Jupiter to rise opposite the Full Moon in Aquarius, illuminating that the Age of Aquarius is no longer dawning - it has already dawned.

The harder half of the truth is that first light is not daytime. Dawn is the moment the dark is still almost total and only the horizon has begun to change. The light that arrives this week does not spare us what is coming - it reveals it. And what it reveals is that the demolition is not over. In many ways it is only now becoming undeniable.

As Saturn and Neptune, the two architects that rewrote the century’s code back at the Genesis Reset in February, both begin journeying backward together this week, taking a long second pass over everything that has fallen, they will ensure the next six months will feel like the first half of this year again, only louder and harder to look away from. More will break, and much of it will be things we love.

The old world will not leave quietly, and it is going to spend the months ahead crashing out in ways that are bewildering and, at times, frightening. What the sky asks us to hold is the almost unbearable both/and of it: that the new world is real and already being born, and that we must walk through the loud collapse of the old one to reach it. The garden and the rubble are the same ground. The new world grows low and quiet - in every act of care that doesn’t wait for permission, and every choice to look across at the person beside us instead of up at the leaders who failed us - while the old one crumbles all around it, falling faster than the new one can rise.

So if your body is asking you to rest, rest - we are living through a lot right now. The task of this era is not to out-shout the demolition, but to keep something tender alive inside it, and to still be standing, softened rather than hardened, when the light finally reaches the ground.

Last week, Barbault’s Basket began forming and this week it reaches its peak formation - four outer planets arriving simultaneously at four degrees of their respective signs, encoding new operating principles into the architecture of the coming century.

This week, something lands that is older and deeper than the Basket. Beneath the noise of the world right now - beneath the consolidation of power, the algorithmic manufacture of reality, the attention economy at its most total and most apparently permanent - a different note is sounding. Two of the slowest-moving planets in our solar system form an exact angle this Saturday for the first time in a civilisational cycle that began in 1891. It is the deepest note most of us will ever hear, and it is sounding at precisely the moment the other note - the loud one, the sound of dominance and control - reaches its peak. The loudest note and the deepest one, both in the same week.

This angle has been gathering for as long as most of us have been alive. Every one of us was born into a sky already carrying it - building in us, asking questions in us, and producing a restlessness in us that the world we’ve been handed was never designed to answer.

This Saturday it perfects, and what it is pointing toward - what the sky has been pointing toward across the whole arc of this half-millennium cycle - is what rises after the Age of the Mind. Even though the world right now feels like it’s falling apart, this week the sky offers us the promise of something we could only reach via collapse. This week, the sky answers the question of what kind of civilisation we are actually living at the edge of, and what is waiting on the other side of the age.

Last week, the July 4 lightning strike rippled through the world, with Mars carrying the Uranian rupture deep into Neptune and Pluto - the shockwave finding its hidden channels - while Neptune stationed retrograde as the collective imagination began its long inward turn, and Venus crossed into Virgo to begin the quiet work of discernment amid the disruption.

This week, something truly remarkable begins to take its shape in the sky - a configuration astrologers have been awaiting eagerly for decades. The four outer planets are about to reach 4° of their signs, and when they do they will form the shape of a basket on the zodiac wheel - a configuration known as Barbault’s Basket, named after the world famous French astrologer who saw it coming years ago. Over his storied career, Barbault correctly predicted the arrival of the 2020 pandemic, among many other events, and the alignment forming this week he called pour le plus grand bonheur de l’humanité. For the greatest happiness of humanity.

But as the basket has been forming, the question many have been asking this month is if Barbault predicted that 2026 would be a “splendid relaunch of civilisation” and “the greatest happiness of humanity” - why does it look like this? Why does the world we’re living through, with its wars and its institutional collapse and its consolidation of power into fewer and fewer hands, look nothing like a relaunch? It’s a fair question that deserves an answer, and that answer lies in a deeper reading of the original prediction, which I’ve laid out below.

Last week we stood at the threshold, as the whole sky held its breath waiting for the thunder to roll in. This week, the sky raises its voice and speaks like lightning.

Some weeks go by relatively quietly, as if we’re on our way somewhere, and the sky is gently guiding us and preparing us for what lies ahead. This is not one of those weeks. This week, we’re not on the way to something - this is the thing itself. In the coming days, we arrive at what this whole year has been building toward - one of the most significant astrological events of this era.

First, the Full Moon rises in Capricorn, flooding the architecture of power with light that neither softens nor apologises, then Jupiter crosses into Leo for the first time in twelve years, and the register of the entire world shifts as the sovereign heart steps forward and demands to be seen. The Age of the Heart stops being a quiet undercurrent and walks to center stage.

And then comes Saturday, July 4 - America’s 250th birthday - as Mars meets Uranus in Gemini. Mars-Uranus conjunctions are how history lurches - the warrior and the lightning bolt. Last week, the sky made its formal announcement as four planets piled into Gemini, the Sun met Uranus in their first conjunction since the ingress, and the message arrived in voltage rather than words - the Age of the Mind is closing, the Age of the Heart is opening, and the species is being rewired from one to the other across the next seven years.

The discomfort so many of us have been carrying - the mental overload, the inability to focus, the strange tiredness, the sense that the inside of our own head has begun to feel like a room we no longer quite recognise - none of this is a breakdown (though it absolutely feels like it). It’s the old wiring failing because the signal has changed, and the new wiring being installed in its place.

This week, the new wiring receives its first transmission, as Uranus - the awakener, the rewirer - meets Sedna, a dwarf planet at the edge of the solar system named for the Inuit goddess of the deep waters, the mother of the ocean, the queen of everything that lives beneath the surface. In myth, Sedna was a young woman thrown overboard by her father in a storm, her fingers broken one by one until she let go, and as she sank her broken fingers became the seals and the whales and the walruses that fed her people for generations. The body the wounded masculine tried to discard became the body of the ocean, and the wounded feminine who was thrown away became the goddess who fed every creature in the deep.

This week, she touches the wire and what was thrown overboard and did not die is now rising into the nervous system of the species through the new circuit - not as memory, but as live current. Every voice the architecture pushed underwater to keep its surface tidy is coming back up, and it is coming back up through us.

The women who were not believed.
The bodies that were not honoured.
The earth that was treated as inventory.
The grief that had no permission to grieve.
The rage that had no permission to rage.
All of it is returning, up through the circuit.

If last week the sky was teaching the mind that it can no longer do this job alone, this week the sky shows it what the heart has been holding all along.

This week marks a quiet but decisive shift as Mars - the planet of conflict, force, and the fire of action - finishes a six-week tour of Aries on Saturday and crosses into Taurus, changing the entire weather of what we’ve been living through.

Since the start of April, Mars in Aries has been the engine of the corridor of intensity that saw seven planets stack up in the sign of fire, while down on the ground Trump’s disastrous war in Iran ran off the rails. The open declarations, the dramatic strikes, the visible escalations, the bombs as headline - that’s all been Mars in Aries. Wars start in Aries, but they never end there - it’s just where they take their loudest form. On Saturday, at the very last degree of the sign, Mars meets Chiron; the wounded warrior making one final exact aspect before walking out of the burning building.

This is not the end of the conflict in Iran. It’s the end of the conflict as the main story.

What comes next, as Mars moves into Taurus - the sign of the body, the soil, the supermarket shelf, the heating bill, the supply chain - is the phase where the consequences of the fire become the lived experience of the world. Since late in 2024, Pluto has been moving forward through the early degrees of Aquarius, pressing into its twenty year journey through the sign that governs systems, networks, and collective organization. Pluto in Aquarius is the slow transformation of the structures we live inside - governments, technologies, financial systems, the architecture of who counts and how decisions get made - and for months now, that pressure has been gathering across the entire global system, reshaping the world as we know it.

But this week, Pluto stops moving forward, and for the next five months, it will retrograde back across the same part of the sky it just traversed - as if it’s the steamroller reversing back over what it just mowed down. Whatever Pluto compressed in the first few months of this year - the political maps it tore up and redrew, the institutional rulings, the system shifts in technology, finance, surveillance, and collective organization it oversaw - is all about to be composted slowly over the months ahead, and by the time Pluto stations direct in mid-October, just a few weeks before the United States midterms, whatever has been processed underground will return to the surface as fact.

The systems we have lived inside our whole lives are not going to be repaired by this cycle. They are going to be transformed - which, in Pluto’s vocabulary, means broken down so that something else can be built on the cleared ground. That breaking is going to keep happening, and it will hurt, and we will lose things we love, and we will watch institutions that once meant something become hollow, and see leaders fail us, and the maps we trusted to guide us go blank.

Yet at the same time, something else is being born, at scales most of us are not yet looking at. In gardens, and group chats, and in neighborhood meetings. In small congregations, and watershed councils, and tool libraries, and open source projects. The next world is being seeded right now, in places small enough that the people inside them know each other’s names, and the work in this season is not to be saved by the failing system, but to recognize that the system is finishing, and to put our actual building energy into what comes next.

And what exactly comes next? Well, the sky is telling us that clearly too. The last time Pluto moved through Aquarius 250 years ago, it steamrolled over the divine right of kings, and democracy was born on the cleared ground. Now it’s back to collapse a system that’s no longer fit for purpose, and it’s already describing what we should build in its place.
