Thank you so much for the clarity Wiz. I've never heard the middle east story told so clearly. You must spend a lot of time researching. 🩷

I don’t read much of anything on social media anymore. Your stack being the one exception. And this post is exemplary of why. I’ve never in my entire life heard or read of any historically accurate — and so simply and factually stated — account of the US-Western Europe-Middle East geopolitical situation until today. This should be printed off and handed out as mandatory reading in every Western high school world history and US Government class. THIS. Let’s accept responsibility for what was done, remove the scales from our eyes, and then lay it down for good! Damn good job on this week’s wrap up Wiz! Bravo 👏

Thank you for these words. I lived in the Middle East and did my graduate work studying Middle Eastern politics, and today’s piece is a master work. I saw firsthand many of the forces and themes you write about, but was called an extremist when I tried to talk about it. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your insights because it puts my own experience into context. I just didn’t understand the underlying planetary forces, so again, thank you.

Excellent explanation of this culmination of wounds, especially in the context of the new age coming. Thank you for your work on this.

You are not only a wizard with words, but a very accomplished historian. As others have noted, I have never read an historical article aimed at telling the truth without bias, just the painful truth. It is indeed a story that should be told around the world and taught in schools. What is sobering is the horrendous pain that was inflicted that caused the wound - the word "wound" really doesn't describe it. It is more like unimaginable torture that truly is challenging to heal. Millions tragically barbariosly executed. A desire for peace mixed in with an anger calling for vindication mixed in with the greed of powerful nations more interested in money than fairness. The confusion, the grief, the greed, the manipulation leaves the outcome understandable. The fog created because the truth was buried for so many will obviously result in uneducated, inappropriate reactions.

The first step of this much needed transformation is to spread the truth so the rot can be seen not just by a few, but the majority, and as a result clearly see we need to forever drop the "eye for an eye" mentality. To allow the truth to set us free as we have always known. The heart of humanity will show it's power instinctively once the truth is clearly understood, but that in itself is a time consuming, laborious task. This today is a wonderful start. Thank you Wiz. 💖💝💖

Thank you for this in depth explanation. It explains so much that many of us do not know or understand.

Outstanding. My four year history degree did not offer this level of clarity. I read your wrap-up aloud every Sunday over coffee with my wife. Thank you for giving us this opportunity to find healing and peace.

Thank you. I learned a lot from this post. I knew some of it, but not the full extent, of the Middle East Story and the US involvement. I am helping heal my family’s wounds, so this was really helpful. My father was one of the chemical engineers who built the second bomb that was dropped and it really affected him. Hopefully I’m the one that will heal that wound.

I just read your weekly wrap-up. Once again, I am deeply grateful for the clarity with which you explained an incredibly complex history. I actually read it allowed to my husband -- he's a captive audience at the moment, as we're driving for 6 hrs today. He responded: "This is the clearest and fairest depiction of what took place and why we are where we are. I think he did a good job." My husband is of Sephardic Jewish heritage and completely opposed to the actions of the Netanyahu regime. He reminded me that, as you stated, the Jews have been forced to move many times, and during WWII many western nations, including the USA, Canada, Australia, Switzerland, the UK, all either turned away or severely reduced the number of Jews they let in. There is guilt spread across many hands. Your description of the "wound" and its transference across generations is so well articulated. And then when you hand power to -- or allow them to grab it -- religious zealots of any stripe, who want to control a population, natural resources, and the flow of capital, the stage is perfectly set for abuses of power. It is so evident that the governments don't really care about the people -- in this case Palestinians, Iranians, Israelis, or Americans for that matter. What it really boils down to at the core of all of these conflicts is who gets to control the resources and the capital.

Thank you for clarifying an age old story. I fully see it now. Makes sense. I do hope we in the U.S. can begin to see what's happening for what it is and not be afraid of it. Again, thank you for the research, time, effort and love you have put into this along with all your other work. 💜

Thank you for the insight! The loudness is a perfect explanation, and yes it is overwhelming at times. There are times when I would like accountability from those in power making decisions that are at times are difficult to understand.

I do have apprehension on how this will affect everyone

And perhaps you might have added that 20% of Israeli citizens are Arabs who did not take up arms against the Jews. They serve in the IDF, in the Knesset, and in the Israeli Supreme Court. In contrast, a LOT of the "Nakba" Arabs were not expelled by the Israelis: they were told to clear out by the surrounding Arab governments who said "We will drive all the Jews into the sea, and then you can come back." I.e. many self-deported hoping for another Holocaust...
