Beautiful. No doubt many Judeo-Christian teachings were based on these ancient beliefs. I can clearly see how our world needs a reset. Hoping I have the courage to experience and walk through my own personal reset. Your words are a consistent source of education and encouragement for me.

I found myself looking at my own heart weighed against the feather. Wow. The telling of Ma'at pulled me in. Need to learn more.

Truth was a value my father gave me from his life experiences. Love as truth on fire is my new mantra. Thank you.

I am so ready to let go, to let this end, and to be open to whatever is next - because it will absolutely be better, even if it’s difficult and scary. Thank you 💕

“the fierce and formidable thing the heart actually is: love as truth on fire, refusing to accommodate what is false because love and truth are the same thing, and always have been.”

Gorgeous.

Wow, I awoke-1st mug of coffee-to be awed & transported to a future reckoning coming very soon. To be alive to see this planetary reckoning! Appreciate your deep work here. 💐

Your post today was especially riveting due to the weighing of the heart and the presence of Anubis. What a powerful analysis. I used to teach the weighing of the heart when analyzing Eudora Welty's "A Worn Path," which in addition to tracing the hero's journey, simultaneously alludes to Anubis weighing the heart in order for the character to "pass" a trial. The story is set in the Jim Crow south of the 20th century. The narrator is an elderly "free" slave who, on the most literal level, walks a perilous trail, encountering various trials that mirror elements of both the Egyptian myth and hero's journey. The purpose of her journey is to secure medicine for her grandson with the condition that her motives are weighed (evaluated). Anubis, the scale, and the old woman's search for an elixir, all underscore that one's actions in life are measured against a different standard in death, and why that matters to oneself and the world.

The root of the word courage is coeur... I always found courage to be synonymous with fire!

Thanks for such a thorough and deep look! It was fascinating to see the history of libra. The heart weighed against the feather is such a beautiful visual. Sometimes there's so much muck and horror these days and you see that the roots are so deep and only now just being exposed. It's good to know that even in those times of ancient pharaohs, there was a sense of right and wrong and morality. That gives me a great sense of hope. And yes, I would love a mug with the phrase " love is Truth on fire"
