I'm reading this a day later. I can't hold back the tears. I've been able to manage my emotions through most of the insanity the last several months. When I read the "New Security Strategy", all of the work I've been doing to not let fear and sadness take hold of me went dormant. Trying to find the silver lining in the wake of the release of this document is the hardest yet.
It's okay to feel a deep grief in this moment we are living through. What we thought was solid ground beneath us turns out to be sinking sand. The center of energy is moving, and safety no longer lives where we used to find it. I've written a lengthy piece about this that you might find helpful, just trying to make a bit of sense of the moment --- https://substack.com/@wizardwithwords/note/c-185060513?r=3cr3ye&utm_source=notes-share-action&utm_medium=web
