The Reckoning is Here: Full Moon in Capricorn
A Full Moon Exposing the Cracks in Power, and the Weight We Can’t Carry Anymore
On July 10, 2025, the Capricorn Full Moon rises like a reckoning.
It doesn’t shimmer. It looms.
This is a moon of consequence, karma, and collapsing scaffolds.
The systems we’ve leaned on are cracking.
The roles we’ve outgrown are suffocating.
The weight we’ve carried is no longer sustainable.
This lunation opposes the Cancer Sun,
pulling us between emotional truth and structural reality.
Mars in Virgo wants order.
Pluto in Aquarius exposes rot.
Together with this Full Moon,
they pressure us to confront what institutions would rather bury,
and what we've tried to keep polished on the surface.
Capricorn doesn’t care how you feel about the truth.
It just drops it at your feet and waits to see what you’ll do next.
This Full Moon is a mirror held to your foundations.
It asks: What are you building?
Who are you obeying?
Why are you still pretending that everything is fine?
Because this isn’t just a moon.
It’s a cosmic audit.
And with Saturn in Aries demanding instinctual action,
and Uranus freshly in Gemini rewiring our perception,
there’s no room left for delay.
Pluto retrograde in Aquarius reminds us that
real revolution isn’t loud - it’s systemic.
The old world is panicking…..
not because it’s strong,
but because it knows it’s dying.
This Full Moon comes for whatever no longer holds integrity.
And it won’t knock.
Capricorn rules the bones of civilization….
Governments, institutions, authority, tradition,
and the systems we’re told to trust.
And under this lunation, those bones are creaking.
Some will break.
Some will be reforged.
But none will be ignored.
There’s a weight in the collective field right now.
Maybe it’s Uranus freshly in Gemini, jolting our nervous systems.
Maybe it’s the Moon’s opposition to the Cancer Sun,
dredging up lineage grief and the ache of what once felt like home.
Or maybe it’s just everything, all at once.
The war in Ukraine, now a tragic background hum.
The atrocities in Gaza, where grief outlasts ceasefires.
The floods in Texas and New Mexico….lives lost, futures rewritten overnight.
And the ongoing collapse of the American psyche, where empire meets entropy.
Even if you’re not directly touched, you can feel it.
Because this isn’t just world news….it’s soul weather.
And under this Full Moon, we don’t just witness collapse…..
we decide how we’ll live through it.
Grief is now an atmosphere.
It transcends borders.
It seeps through headlines.
And under a Capricorn Moon, the air gets heavy.
This Full Moon brings it all to a head.
Capricorn rules consequence.
Cancer rules care.
And when they face off, we’re asked:
Where are you still trying to hold it all together,
when it’s clearly time to let go?
There’s pressure to show up.
To stay strong.
To push through.
But the deeper call is to lay down what was never yours to carry.
Refuse the soul-contract of silent suffering.
Feel the weight, and then ask: what's truly mine, and what isn’t?
Saturn, about to move retrograde in Aries, invites you to rewrite your internal code.
The old self-discipline model is done.
If the rules you’ve lived by were born of fear,
it’s time to break them, and build something worthy.
Under This Full Moon, Here's What We’re Likely to See in the World:
Institutional shakeups.
Capricorn rules the bones of power - governments, corporations, police, military, religion. Expect revelations, resignations, or systemic pressure points to crack open.
Public accountability moments.
This moon may expose lies or corruption that’s been buried under bureaucracy. It’s a cosmic audit, and some people, systems, or stories won’t pass inspection.
Emotional burnout on a mass scale.
With the Moon opposing the Cancer Sun, people are done pretending they’re fine. Watch for emotional outbursts from public figures, viral moments of truth-telling, or collective grief bubbling up.
Breakdowns in infrastructure.
Capricorn governs roads, bridges, buildings - the literal foundations. Floods, collapses, or infrastructure failures could be part of this week’s headlines (especially with Uranus now agitating Gemini’s airways and data grids).
Shifts in collective narrative.
With Uranus entering Gemini just days ago, media, communication, and public perception are in flux. This Full Moon might trigger a sharp narrative pivot - a mass disillusionment or a new truth going viral.
On a personal level…..
Your Sun Sign on your natal chart can indicate how you will interact with this Full Moon. This month, no one is untouched.
♈️ Aries
The pressure’s on, but you’re not here to please the crowd. Leadership means knowing when to walk away from the wrong summit.
♉️ Taurus
A long-awaited decision or truth may surface. Trust the slow burn. Your timing is more divine than delayed.
♊️ Gemini
Uranus just electrified your whole nervous system (it entered Gemini on July 7!), and now this moon says: choose your truth. No more shapeshifting to stay safe.
♋️ Cancer
Everything feels personal, because it is. Let your emotions speak, but don’t let them set your whole house on fire.
♌️ Leo
You’re carrying more than your fair share. Time to delegate, detox, and delete what no longer deserves your energy.
♍️ Virgo
Old creative visions or romantic dreams may resurface. Don’t cling to the past - just honour what still feels alive.
♎️ Libra
Family themes, old dynamics, or unspoken expectations could rise. Choose peace, but not at your own expense.
♏️ Scorpio
Something unspoken wants out. Say the thing. The truth is medicine, even if it stings on the way down.
♐️ Sagittarius
Money, security, or self-worth themes are stirring. What you value is shifting, and so is what you tolerate.
♑️ Capricorn
This is your moon, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. With Saturn (your ruler) in Aries, you’re being pushed to act on instincts, not just duty. Let go of the version of you that always had to be the strong one.
♒️ Aquarius
You’re underwater in the collective subconscious right now. Rest, retreat, and listen to what your dreams are trying to say.
♓️ Pisces
Some friendships or long-range visions may feel off. Let what’s no longer aligned drift away. Your new tribe is closer than you think.
Full Moon Ritual: The Reckoning Bowl
I always think observing the Full Moon in some way is valuable. Even if it’s just standing out in your backyard with bare feet on the ground looking up at it’s light.
If you’d like to honor this moon with a ritual, here’s what I suggest.
This isn’t a ritual for manifesting. It’s a ritual for reckoning.
What you’ll need:
A bowl of water (to represent Cancer’s emotional truth)
A stone or small object (to represent Capricorn’s weight and accountability)
A pen and paper
Step 1: Name the Weight
Write down the burdens you’ve been carrying that no longer feel true…..
Roles, responsibilities, stories, guilt, obligations.
Be honest.
Be ruthless.
Step 2: Place the paper in the water
Let it soak.
Let it soften.
Let Cancer’s waters hold your grief.
Step 3: Hold the stone in your hand
Ask yourself….What is truly mine to carry?
Breathe.
Listen.
You’ll know.
Step 4: Recommit
Hold the stone to your heart.
Say aloud what you are choosing to carry forward….
with love, with clarity, with no apology.
Step 5: Close with stillness
Sit with both the bowl and the stone.
Let the contrast remind you: you’re allowed to put things down.
You’re allowed to choose a different shape.
Under this Full Moon, the Earth herself is rumbling.
And the skies are simply mirroring what we already know in our bones.
The old world is over.
And the new one is not here yet.
So what do we do?
We breathe.
We name it.
We hold one another through the ache.
And we remember that this moon isn’t just about collapse.
It’s also about what gets built when truth is finally acknowledged.
Let yourself feel the grief of the world,
but don’t mistake it for hopelessness.
This is not the end.
It’s the accounting.
You are not here to hold it all,
but to hold your piece of it with care and courage.
So anchor where love still lives.
Turn down the panic.
Turn up the presence.
Rest if you must.
Let go of what power told you to be.
We rise again…..but this time, on our own terms.
Together.
My intention in my writing is to lessen the climate of fear around world events by offering clarity and cosmic context for what’s unfolding; to bring context to the chaos. I believe our highest calling right now is to anchor in the vibration of love & truth and call in a more beautiful world, and to do that, we must lean out of fear. I hope you read this with an open, uplifted heart.
"So anchor where love still lives.
Turn down the panic.
Turn up the presence.
Rest if you must.
Let go of what power told you to be.
We rise again…..but this time, on our own terms.
Together."
YES! Just over ten years ago, I sat on the kitchen floor with someone who was in a state of total collapse...someone realizing that everything they had told themselves was breaking apart. I remember saying, "And now I am feeling hopeful for you....and I am so proud of you...because what you are facing is something so many people need to face but don't have the courage to do...and you know what? What you are facing now is the prerequisite to the way up. It couldn't happen without this. And we will walk through this together. hold my hand and we will get you some support for this. You got this." This is the same thing I see happening in the larger world I inhabit. It is hard...it is necessary...and we got this...TOGETHER.
Yep! I'm gonna stand barefoot on the grass and absorb the moonlight. Yummy. Maybe I will howl a bit, make contact with other local wildlife. Cheers!🖖🏽
