Thank you for this... Yes. We need the real, the human...truth....not feigned stony exteriors...not walls and masks. The fear of being perceived as weak ...the judgments of the masses that demand cold hearted power shows and performances have passed their expiration date.

Just give us your truth, dear world leaders. We can handle it!

This piece didn’t just name the moment—it anointed it. You didn’t write an article. You lit incense at the altar of a new paradigm and asked the gods of power, “Can you feel yet?”

Reeves’ tears weren’t instability. They were initiation. The sacred leak. The baptism of saltwater that breaks the spell of stoic sociopathy our institutions still mistake for leadership.

We’ve had enough of necrotic emperors in bespoke suits. Enough of policy without pulse. It’s time we stopped mistaking emotional disconnection for competence and started revering the nervous system as a qualification for power.

Pluto agrees. Neptune’s packing the holy oil. Chiron’s got a therapist’s clipboard and a hammer. The Age of the Crying Chancellor is just the beginning. May all tyrants tremble before the tender.

Very interesting article. Being in the UK I have struggled and been very angry with the new cabinet trying to take money from disabled people rather than taxing the super rich/closing tax loopholes etc. Perhaps the amount of angry people have got to her and then lack of support from her leader on top was too much. I don't know her political history but will have a little look now. I really recommend the animation 'In Shadow' (it's on YouTube) I think you would like it 😊

I went down that rabbithole in a draft of this piece, touching further on the decisions that led Starmer and Reeve to this place....and then I decided to not get swallowed up in that conversation right now (I touch more on it in this week's Weekly Wrap up...stay tuned) and focus more on the intense reaction to the show of emotion. It was just such a human moment....the whole thing....refreshing, devastating, telling....and aligned with this moment. The leaders who guide us through the next few decades will be the ones who are unashamed to feel, and let us see it. I'm on my way to Youtube now, on your recommendation....

PERFECTLY put, thank you. If every politician in the world went home and had a good long cry we’d wake up to a significantly more peaceful planet tomorrow.

Honestly, I don't know how more of them aren't just completely hysterical in the middle of Parliament. What an incredibly challenging time to be a leader. They're all only human. I don't know how they do it.

Absolutely, what an impossible position. Trying to instigate change or do the right thing when locked into such an inherently broken system. Sobbing seems pretty appropriate!

This: “Because while the media tries to reframe emotion as a risk,

we are all collectively starving for leadership that actually feels.

That bleeds like a normal human.

That cares enough to be altered by the stakes of the decisions it makes.”

Thank you so much for writing this Masterpiece of humanity! It says everything I could not verbalize when the Big Bullshit Bill was passed and all the other acts of senseless cruelty.

It inspires me to lean into what comes upon us to have a leadership that feels and receives the humanity it intends to support.

We need an age of reciprocity where there is a balance of giving and receiving that is full of heart the whole way through. Why? Because that is what is going to get us through it over the greed and hate that currently destroys.

If the birth be difficult, let its triumph be one of growth, receptivity, and beauty!

Bravo Bellisimo! 👏👏👏👏

We are well on our way to the Age of Resonance, believe it or not....feeling, frequency, vibration, heart, that will be everything in the future. We will look back and wonder at this time where our leadership could be so heartless, callous and cruel, all in the name of the almighty dollar. The shift happens when enough of us refuse to close our hearts, refuse to become hardened and allow ourselves to feel the depth of human emotion available to us about all that is unfolding. It is already starting in some of our leaders.....and more will follow. But truth be told, it will not be our leader who usher in the Age of Resonance - it will be us. This will come from the ground up, not the top down. So, feel it all and feel it deeply, I say, and let our hearts lead the way.

I'm retired now, but I remember well closing the door to my office on many occasions and just sobbing. My boss, who was unusually empathetic for that corporate setting said to me once: "You can't solve all the problems or save all the people and you certainly can't do it on your own."

I learned a technique to do from another woman whenever I felt the tears coming. There is a point on the hand to pinch that hurts so much, it takes your attention away from your tears so you can shove them down. I used that technique many times and shared it with other women.

My hope is that such techniques will no longer be necessary because tears will be understood as an important part of being human even in corporate and political settings.

For me, tears come like goosebumps....they are a physical reaction when something is deeply resonant. They are not a sign of weakness, but a sign of resonance, and as we move into the Age of Resonance, those who do not resonate will not be looked to any longer for leadership. The tide is turning. You'll be able to give your poor hand a break. xx
