The Week Ahead: Heart and the Hive

A cosmic map for the coming week; guidance and encouragement for August 16-22 2026

Dear friends,

Last week’s eclipse put the lights out on the king’s frequency - the era of power concentrated at the top, wielded as spectacle, channelled through one very large personality at the apex of the pyramid. This week, the sky picks up where it left off and asks us to consider that if that model of power is ending, then what’s rising in its place.

The answer, unequivocally, according to the sky, is a hive. Power spread horizontally across a field of equals, with no one above or below. That’s where Pluto in Aquarius has been heading for years now, and this week the sky brings it right up close and personal.

Saturday is the week’s real centre of gravity, when the Sun looks across the sky at the Nodes, like the past looking across to the future, and asks itself what kind of heart will be required to build the world that comes next.

For once, it’s a quiet week sky-wise - almost completely still. But stillness has its own kind of weight, and even when we can’t see it, below the surface, something is forming: a structure of things to come, taking shape in the dark. The sky’s not asking for action this week, or for anything to be made to happen. It’s just simply asking us to be with what is, and trust the quiet.

Below, I’ve mapped the week day by day according to the sky, and offered some guidance for those of us who struggle with the stillness. Many of us yearn for forward movement, but sometimes - and this week especially - we would be wise to move at the pace of life, in rhythm with the energy flowing beneath everything, that right now is calling for still.
