Last week was the narrowing choice point - the corridor where options began to close and we were funnelled toward a moment of decision. The week ahead shows us which direction we chose. If last week was the narrowing corridor - the sprint, the leap, the last possible escape - then this week is what comes after the fall.
Like Alice standing up at the bottom of the rabbit hole, brushing the dust from her dress, the shock has passed. The door she came through is gone. There’s no climbing back the way she arrived, no returning to the scale, logic, or assumptions of the old world. The rules have changed - quietly and completely.
Nothing explodes here - there’s no villain revealed, and no instant resolution. Instead, there’s orientation. Curiosity replaces panic, and consequence replaces possibility. From this point on, progress won’t come from force or speed, but from paying attention to what’s real in this new terrain.
That’s the energy of the week ahead. The fall has happened, the path has been chosen. Now we begin to walk.
The week opens with a Sagittarius New Moon stirring big questions about belief, identity, and leadership, followed almost immediately by the Capricorn Solstice - the pivot point of the year, when the light stops receding and begins to return. Psychologically and politically, this is a turning key more than a climax. It doesn’t announce outcomes; it locks in direction.
And because this is Christmas week, that turning happens under a softer light. Attention drifts inward. The pace slows, unevenly. There are moments of tenderness, nostalgia, and fatigue - a collective need to feel held, even briefly. The world exhales, not because things are resolved, but because people need the pause.
Still, the deeper forces shaping the week don’t disappear. The New Moon and the solstice land back-to-back, shifting the focus from belief to consequence. From here on, reality carries more weight than spin. Stories that can’t hold pressure begin to falter, authority sounds thinner, reassurance feels performative. What matters isn’t who speaks the loudest, but what can actually endure. As the days unfold, expect a subtle but firm movement toward consequence by the weekend. Nothing fully resolves, but the light begins to return, not as comfort, but as clarity.
