Yes, Darlene, this will not be an easy ride - I suspect much of this journey will be quite unpleasant, which is why we must keep our eyes on the bigger picture. This isn’t a rough few months - we are walking through a decade of disruption, and it will be so easy for us to lose hope. We must hold on to each other as we navigate this hollowing, and cross the desert between worlds. Where we are going is beautiful beyond imagining - but we have to get there first. Together! Onwards!
As i read this, I was reminded of a crossroads in my life over 30 yrs ago when I needed to leave a bad marriage. I didn't know the path forward but doors suddenly started opening for me and I walked through them. In hindsight these doors were offered by people who were guided by heart, some were complete strangers. The structure of my marriage was completely broken and people with heart showed me the exit, or sometimes the net below the 10th story window. I'm grateful that I jumped. Thank you for your writing.

I adore you. The simplicity and clarity of your words, crafted with such love, to provide the light, the truth, to follow. Our hearts are warmed as they are being called back to the prominence in our lives that our ancestors understood and depended on.
I can confirm the hollowing out you described because of recent interviews I had for 4 jobs at very differing public-serving places. All the heads were uncertain of how they would be able to continue their operations because the demands (and costs) have increased but without resources. They also faced consolidations with other organizations in the name of efficiency that resembled shotgun weddings, even those that previously had decent resources.
That is fascinating, Kristina - it really is showing up everywhere, and I sense we will see it even more over the next few years. I’m certainly not saying we’re doomed, but we are going to experience many of our systems simply not working anymore. And we will have to build new ways. It’s both exhausting and exciting all at once! xx
I too am so incredibly grateful and resonate so much with your insight and guidance. My husband and I talked about this is how we have always tried to live, from the heart, from what truly matters. He's 76 and I'm 66 and we will not see the fruition, necessarily in the bigger world, but we have sweet community in our lives and a daughter and she feels like she will be part of the tribe that carries this forward. She is heart based, solid in her foundations, wise in her community building. I hear your words, Wizard, and see it alive in her and do feel that humanity not only has a chance but will move into this new phase of grounded heart living. I've lived a good life and know there is much ahead to endure...the heartbreak of these times is intense...the environmental destruction is what gives me the most angst and distress, not to mention 10,000 deeds of greed and corruption, but your vision helps carry me forward. Deeply grateful.
Yes, the environmental destruction is harrowing to witness, but we must remember that the Earth is greater than us. We cannot outlive her, she is our Mother, and in these coming years with Chiron in Taurus, those who seek to dishonour Mother Earth will receive her response. When we harm the Earth we harm ourselves, and this will become unavoidably and painfully evident in the coming years. We are not doomed, but we are destined to learn the hard way, as we often do. Same goes for the greed and corruption - it may prevail for now, but it will not stand. The sky ensures us that ultimately, better days lie ahead.....just beyond the desert! Stay hopeful xx
