I'm so happy your weekly wrap-up is back it's the only news I enjoy reading 🙂 and yes definitely no-one is coming to save us and hubs, pods and community projects are the only way forward.....funnily, locally to where I live it was the extreme political ends of the spectrum (Greens and Restore) who arranged to turned up to the demo to save our local post office; when people work in communities face to face that's when the political ideologies drop away.....thanks Wizard, for reinforcing my hope! 💜
Hi Jen. In my original piece about the fourth gate, I wrote that by end of July, by the close of the fourth gate, "In the U.S., a long-overdue reckoning will begin as authority faces consequence and the cost of influence comes due. Trump, by this point, will no longer be a relevant actor - the stage that once echoed his voice will have gone quiet." I still stand by that - already we can see that the stage that was once MAGA has splintered, and his support has eroded, and that will only continue - though I find that when I write about Trump, people often expect exact results. Trump not being a relevant actor does not mean he won't be president - it means that the world is moving on without him, which it is. Even when Trump went through what many astrologers quite rightly read as a "death transit" earlier in the year, that didn't necessarily mean he was going to die, but that the persona he has upheld for so long would lapse, which we have seen. The man is clearly very unwell, and clearly unravelling, but also clearly determined to hang on to life and power where others would let go, so I've started reading more on what's going on around him than on what's happening for him specifically. July will not be a good month for Trump, not just because of his own chart, but because of the charts of other leaders and nations that affect him. Not a good month for Putin, or Netanyahu, or Trump, or any of those leaders who've been trying to dominate. The lightning is coming, the gate is opening, and we'll see what the shape of things is once it closes at the end of July.
Yes, I'm glad to be back too. Feeling rested and restored and ready to go! And, look, lets be honest, any member of the Bluey family would get my vote!
I had to laugh (out loud!) at your comment of - 'A tomato plant on a balcony is a political act right now...' I have lived in an apartment for 5 years, and this Spring, I decided that I wanted to grow a tomato plant on my balcony. I hope that it produces more tomatoes than I can eat so I can share them with neighbors and friends.
Also, and probably because of your writing, I have been taking note of all the community projects and "grassroots" organizations that have been taking shape. It gives me hope that the future is taking shape. I am even thinking about how I can get involved locally without doing something like running for office.
Again, thank you for your words and your wisdom regarding what the sky is telling us. It might be a rough next few years, but I truly hope for better times ahead 🙏
