Prophetic writing. Having avoided every apocalyptic film that's ever been produced, Wednesdsy's newsreels of the catastrophe in Nepal - this I could not unsee. Emotional and physical tectonic plates are on the move, big time.

It was startling seeing news footage that looked like a disaster movie. And there will be more of it. Life imitating art. But it’s not hopeless. This is a time of great weight, but also of great purpose. xx

Beautiful and terrifying at the same time. I have hope for this world though. In spite of the horrors inflicted on people by would-be leaders, kindness is being practiced person to person throughout the days. Reading and seeing these kindnesses keeps me going. Love will be the only way forward.

Wizard Withwords's avatar

Yes, I agree, Linda. At the level of people, there is much kindness to be found. It seems its the top of the pyramids where a vast majority of the bad behaviour is emanating from these days. Or maybe it’s always been that way and we’re only now noticing. But yes, we must look for the love and the light, hidden in the cracks. The more we look, the more we find, and the world gets brighter and brighter. xx

This is the heaviest piece yet. God help us all to find our hearts.

Wizard Withwords's avatar

It didn’t feel heavy when I wrote it, it was only after I posted that I sensed the heaviness in the response. I think I got lost in the meaning of it all and what it’s pointing to, and that took me past the heaviness of how it actually is in this moment. It’s a lot, but we can hold it - not in the mind, but in the heart. Breathe in. Breathe out. Onwards!

The Zodiac Chronicles 🗞️'s avatar

I always feel the intent of encouragement and support in all your writings. It’s only heavy because the events taking place in the world are beyond sanity. You give us the message with love.

But as time presses on, I feel the weight as we all should. That’s how we change.

Thanks always for what you do, it matters!

Wizard Withwords's avatar

Yes, these are heavy times, and I expect they will continue to feel heavy for the rest of this decade before we fully finish this period of demolition and disruption and move on to the building and rebuilding phase in the 2030s…..where what’s been torn down in this era has cleared the path to build better. There’s hope in all of it - none of this is pointless, but it is often painful, which is why it’s so good we can all walk the road together, eyes and hearts open. xx

Spirit said to me long ago, “This is the Age of Light. The Age when the light of the heart and the light of the soul shine brighter than the light of the mind.” I am only now beginning to understand what that meant. Your article definitely helps confirm this, especially your ending with: this is the Age of the Heart! ♥️

Wizard Withwords's avatar

YES! YES YES! The Age of Light. I love that. Light is what we’re made of. May we remember it more each day. xx

I love your weekly wrap-ups, and as horrific as the subject matter, you continue to make sense of it and give hope because the heart is where we need to be returning to (funnily my title for my poetry is 'Stories from the Heart, the Hearth, from Earth'). Thanks for helping light beacons along the wayside 🪔💜🪔

Wizard Withwords's avatar

Every week, as the theme of the Wrap-Up starts to filter in and I get the sense of what needs to be written about, I too am taken by the horror of it all. Each week I think “can’t I just once get to write about something not horrific?” Hehe! But these are horrific times, here at the end of the age. The mind is not going quietly, but in time it will let go and allow space for the heart, and the horrors will subside. Until then, we search for the light and the hope hidden in the cracks - it’s there, we just have to look! xx

Left me weeping

Wizard Withwords's avatar

Strangely, it left me the same way. Nothing like a good cry.

Wow. This is very helpful - sad, too, in an honest way. It has taken me a while but gradually I am realising that I am not leaning on (I want to say feeding on!) personal and collective grief, it is what is, strangely, buoying and carrying me through the devastation. And as has been pointed out, the good question keeps arising: so what else? now what? without demanding an answer, just a readiness.

Wizard Withwords's avatar

Yes, this is not a time to press for answers, but to sit with the question, ready to answer the call when it comes. No need to rush - everything in its own time. Readiness is all thats required. Onwards!

I had an early morning email exchange with a friend who had shared a fillmaker/spiritual seekers who has spent years asking what is the truth of our existence. Th filmaker commented that after a lifetime of research and exploration she was asking now, "and then what or what is next?". Realizing that despite all the information (the mind) she was at the "now what" because she had no idea where to go next or how to know.

I found this to be such a great example of the joy of journeying forward without having to grasp for the next best thing or without having to research etc (again the mind). But rather to flow with the Divine love that flows through us and "know," we will know what to create next...that's the joy of creating. Being with, present.

So I think the question "and then what" Or what is next, is a perfect reflection on how we move forward either in fear or heart.

I have experienced asking is what I know enough? Do I need another certification; do I need do remember how to or do "x" a certain way or question did I do it right? Which is all fear based.

Now I ask myself what is here for me to pay attention to? And I listen and allow myself to flow. My body is often the gauge, like a guidance system, helping me experience the "knowing".

As for "what's next" I think this is the beauty of creation. We create as we go. There is a flow. And that to me is the joy of the adventure. We don't know necessarily the next "what" until we get there. The constant expansion. And perhaps that is Gods joy; Gods love ever expanding.

What do you think?

Wizard Withwords's avatar

Oh my goodness, I read this twice just to soak it up. You said it perfectly and I hardly want to add anything to it except to say YES YES YES, you get it. Just sitting with what is, feeling our way through, seeing what’s rising for us, and letting it take it where it takes us. Onwards!

An Opus, Wizard! Profound hardly covers it! Much gratitude for your synthesis across eons and your penetrating recognition of what our solar system wants us to learn. Your weekly revelations help us to see truth in tragedy and trust the heart.

I took days writing this one and then collapsed in bed for 48 hours after it was posted. It was epic! I’m glad it resonated!

Neil Robert Beck's avatar

I thought of this today, not only the information you bring together but the huge effort you must put into a rich, yet coherent and "reader-friendly" essay.

Wizard Withwords's avatar

Sometimes, as I get to about Thursday of each week, I think to myself "here I go, climbing Mount Everest again" as I dive into a few days of writing to sum up the week. It always feels impossible at the start, but then after a day or two, it finds its way. The words flow in from somewhere....and thank goodness they do!

Neil Robert Beck's avatar

They sure do flow, and in good part it's because you know how to use them (practice!) but the inspirational part is probably your openness to... here I have to think how to say it.. "unobvious" ways to stitch or weave different threads? Lateral thinking. Thanks for being up to the task!

Wizard Withwords's avatar

Thanks Neil, that's a lovely way to say it. I find that a lot of news coverage these days just presents what's happening, without pulling back to investigate why it's happening - what the big picture is. I try to look through a telescope, not a microscope....see current events in the context of their place in the century, not their place in the news cycle. But I also think a fair amount of it comes from making time to sit and listen to the rhythm of life - I spend an extensive amount of time sitting under the branches of an old mulberry tree in my back yard, that I've become convinced whispers things to me. That's why I never claim any of these words as mine - this is not MY writing, because I'm pretty sure a mulberry tree wrote a large chunk of it hehe. Just trying to be open to the wisdom of life, and let it flow.... Thank-you for reading! xx
