Dear friends,
Each day, we gather here - hearts from every corner of the globe - to share a breath, a quiet pause, and send the light of our love into a dark world.
Today we send the light of our love to those learning that love can’t be held by force
To the ones gripping someone too tightly today, out of fear they’ll leave, and feeling them slip anyway. To those on the other end of that grip, loved in a way that feels like being held under. We send our light to everyone meeting the shadow side of love today, the jealousy, the control, the old obsession dressed up as devotion, and to those brave enough to open the hand and see what stays. What stays when you stop forcing it was always yours. The rest was fear.
May the love I hold be held with an open hand
I loosen my grip, and I watch what stays.
I name the fear underneath the wanting.
I let love be free, because that’s the only way it’s real.
I face my own shadow before I point at anyone else’s.
I turn toward the future, and I bring my whole heart with me.
Open the hand
Something in you wants to possess today, and it’s wearing love’s clothes.
Look underneath.
What’s it afraid of losing?
Say that, out loud if you can, to the person it’s about.
Then open the hand, and let them choose you freely.
The future’s pulling, and it only takes what’s freely given.
Today, the sky tests love against power
Venus, retrograde in Scorpio, squares Pluto, newly direct in Aquarius, and that’s love meeting power: jealousy, control, obsession, the fear of losing someone that makes us hold them too tightly. Whatever’s compulsive in our attachments comes up to be seen. On the same day the Sun in Libra flows with the North Node, the sky’s marker for where we’re all heading, so relationships that are aligned with the future feel lighter, and the ones held together by force feel the strain. The Moon in Aquarius faces Mars and then Jupiter in Leo, the crowd against the heart, adding a restless, argumentative edge.
This is a day for loosening your hold on the one you love, and trusting what stays.
