This week, a total solar eclipse in the sign of kings briefly dimmed the lights on the world as our tiny Moon blotted out the Sun; the smallest of stones, sailing slowly across the heavens, felled the brightest giant in our sky, and sent the lights flickering over the heads of all those that wear a crown.
The first bulb to flicker was the crown’s own arsenal, as reports emerged that the US has burned through almost all of its long-range missiles fighting Donald Trump’s war on Iran. Trump responded like a king who knew his light was rapidly fading, declaring that America has “massive amounts of munitions” and that the leakers would be hunted down and jailed for treason, before exploding at Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth for misleading him about the stockpiles; the king shouting at his armourer about the empty armoury that he emptied himself.
Then Iran held its own light up to the throne; with the Strait of Hormuz still closed and a fifth of the world’s oil sealed off behind it, Tehran laid out its price for reopening the water - sanctions lifted, frozen assets released, the US military withdrawn, and hundreds of billions in reparations, all up front, thanks very much. Trump claimed reparations had never once been mentioned - apparently forgetting the $300 billion reconstruction fund written into the MOU he signed in June - then declared the strait was open, even though it’s not, as barely one ship is passing through each day, compared to over a hundred a day before the war. The saga continues, with still no end in sight.
Then the eclipse started digging up secrets, like the one that Trump was covertly smuggled off Air Force One in an airport catering truck on his way home from the NATO summit in Turkey last month, after credible Iranian threats against his life, while the journalists and staffers left aboard - including his own Secretary of State - flew on under the Air Force One call sign as a decoy for Iranian missiles. Eclipses in Leo tend to reveal the truth about what the throne actually is when the spotlight cuts out, and this one certainly delivered.
By week’s end, the flickering was just about everywhere. Trump’s approval dimmed to 33 percent, with 69 percent of Americans saying the country feels out of control. A former White House cardiologist publicly questioned Trump’s health in the New York Times, while Trump was filmed - yet again - snoozing in the middle of a press conference. And Trump’s anointed candidates lost primaries in Minnesota and Tennessee - with Mike Lindell refusing to concede, naturally, because what else can we expect from the pillow guy who learned all his tricks from the king.
And across the sea in the UK, Trump wannabe Nigel Farage won the by-election he called in an endeavour to put an end to parliamentary scrutiny about his questionable financial dealings, though the main parties ran no candidates and his main challenger was a character named Count Binface who, quite literally, was man with a rubbish bin on his head who managed to pull nearly 27 percent of the vote, so it was hardly a resounding victory. Farage skipped the final count ceremony, claiming police warned him of a threat against his life, though they swear they did no such thing; the would-be king ditched his own coronation to avoid having to stand beside the bin he beat, and now he’s right back where he started, with the parliamentary investigation recommencing almost the minute the win was called.
In Israel, Netanyahu, openly rejected Trump’s Board of Peace plan for Gaza, casually showing the whole region that the giant’s word no longer moves anyone. Meanwhile, a federal appeals court back in Washington, ruling on the ballroom Trump’s building where the East Wing used to stand, delivered an eclipse-flavoured smackdown, declaring that each president is a “temporary tenant” of the White House, and telling the king, explicitly, that he doesn’t own the palace and has to stop construction. Of course that didn’t stop Trump - he promptly asked the Supreme Court to overrule the landlord.
Crown lights were flickering right across the world this week, as the sky prompted us to question where else the light could come from if not the throne. The future, according to the sky, belongs not to the giants, and there’s a story almost as old as time itself that tells us exactly what comes after the crown.

A Modern Day David vs Goliath
There’s a story in the Old Testament that’s so famous even those who’ve never read the Bible roughly know the gist of it. A giant named Goliath - champion of the Philistines, the military superpower of their day that had invaded Israeli territory - stood in the Valley of Elah for forty days, taunting an army too frightened to send anyone out to fight him, until eventually, a shepherd boy named David mustered the courage to face the threat, turning down the king's breastplate and shield and instead staying at a distance, where he used a simple sling to hurl a rock into the one gap in Goliath’s armour, felling the giant. The little guy took down the big guy with nothing but a stone.
Flash forward a few millennia and that same story has been playing out over the last few years in Ukraine, after Russia mounted an invasion in February 2022. Watching forty mile columns of Russian armour rolling toward Kyiv, Washington gave Ukraine maybe three or four days before the capital fell, but when the Biden administration offered assistance with evacuation, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded defiantly, “I need ammunition, not a ride.” Ukraine was the modern day David determined to defeat the giant - no small task when that giant has the second-largest army on earth, a nuclear arsenal and a seemingly bottomless well of men.
But to almost everyone’s surprise, Kyiv held - the Russian convoy rusted where it stood - and within months, Ukraine had swept the Russians out of Kharkiv and taken back Kherson. For a moment it looked like the giant might simply fall over, but this one had some fight in him. Ukraine's big 2023 counteroffensive bogged down in Russian minefields, and the war settled into brutal attrition, with Russia throwing a thousand casualties a day at a front line that barely moved, and pounding Ukraine's cities winter after winter, while in the West, fatigue set in.
Aid packages stalled in congresses and parliaments, and by the time the second Trump administration rolled into town in 2025, they cut supplies off altogether and started negotiating with Russia over Ukraine’s head - remember the Alaska summit where Putin flew in to meet Trump, and everyone came out of the meeting with ashen faces, and then flew home having achieved nothing? That was a year ago now, three years into Putin’s war, and after that, the prevailing assumption that settled in the halls of power was that the bigger country would eventually outlast the little one, and that helping Ukraine was only staving off the inevitable.
But in recent months that assumption has shifted - it turns out that while Goliath was busy beating his chest these past few years, David was down at the creek gathering new stones.
Here in 2026, the front line has become a zone twenty miles deep that’s completely transparent, as millions of Ukrainian drones now watch every truck, soldier, and supply run that enters it. Anything that moves is seen and can be hit, to the point that the Russians - after years of buying metres with lives - can no longer move forward at all, and in recent months they’ve actually lost ground. Putin can’t just keep hurling soldiers at the problem - Russia’s already suffered some 1.4 million casualties and 450,000 soldiers have died. That’s roughly one in every hundred Russians alive fed into a front line that no longer moves, and now, with the drones watching everything, the toll has climbed to nearly eight Russian casualties for every Ukrainian one.
And Ukraine’s drones can reach far beyond the front line too, having now hit every refinery in central Russia in recent months - most of them more than once. Back in June, they even struck the huge oil terminal in St Petersburg on the opening day of Putin's showcase economic forum there, so as delegates strolled into the venue, black smoke was billowing on the skyline behind them. Everyone carried on as though it was perfectly normal, but it was anything but. Russia burning is not a sign the giant’s winning - it’s the evidence of defeat, once hidden on the front lines, landing squarely on Moscow’s doorstep for all, at last, to see.
And now a host of other nations are scrambling to get their hands on Ukraine’s new stones that appear to have toppled the giant. The Gulf states are asking Kyiv for help defending against Iranian drones, while European defence companies are queuing for joint ventures with Ukrainian firms. The country that was written off as almost certain to be defeated in this battle has become, four years later, a provider of security that the rest of the world is looking to.
David spent four years learning, and now Goliath’s neighbours are asking David for lessons.

The Gathering of the Stones
The new drone technology that Ukraine has masterfully weaponised against Russia is the result of stones that were being gathered years before the giant ever marched.
The gathering began way back in 2014, when Russia annexed Crimea and lit the fires in the Donbas, and among the volunteers who mobilised back then was a Kyiv investment banker named Volodymyr Kochetkov-Sukach, who took a hobby drone to the front to see whether it could help the army spot its targets, and it turns out it could. A crowdfunded band of IT workers, cybersecurity specialists and engineers slowly gathered around him - people with PhDs and day jobs, who called themselves Aerorozvidka, which translates as “aerial reconnaissance.” When they needed their shop-bought drones to fly further, a computer academy helped stretch the range from 300 metres to 3 kilometres, with aircraft modelling clubs and individual amateurs chipping in along the way. Model plane hobbyists, if you will, upgrading David’s sling.
After Kochetkov-Sukach was killed in the Donbas in 2015, the network he seeded carried on in his name, so when the full invasion came in February 2022, Ukraine already had the first sprouts of a drone industry that had been growing for years. Aerorozvidka formalised into a military unit on the invasion’s first day, fielding around fifty squads of modified shop drones that struck at night, and they’re credited with helping stop that forty-mile convoy, hitting the vehicles at its head until the whole column jammed. Their homebuilt octocopter fought in the defence of Hostomel airport in the war’s opening hours, and even their battle-map was crowd-fed - a live picture of the front assembled from drones, satellites, and ordinary citizens reporting Russian movements through chatbots on their phones. It really was remarkable - the society itself became the sensor.
Over time, the network multiplied. Crowdfunding foundations turned public donations into a parallel armaments system that often moved faster than the state could, while the diaspora financed entire production lines from abroad. One volunteer group started out building 30 drones a month in an apartment, and now turns out 1500 a month with a staff of 30. There’s a twelve-person collective run by a government financial analyst who assembles drones on evenings and weekends, crowdfunding the components, 3D-printing the parts nobody sells, and posting the finished machines to the front by ordinary courier. Multiply that by hundreds, and you arrive at a country that now produces 4 million drones a year.
In the end, the Ukrainian government’s greatest contribution to this whole endeavour was simply getting out of the way. Kyiv rolled back Soviet-era red tape, handed out tax breaks and start-up grants, and let soldiers talk directly to engineers, so that a problem spotted on the front line at the start of a week could become a modified drone by the end of it, with no bureaucracy standing between the problem and the solution - prototype to battlefield in weeks. The state stopped acting like a pyramid and became something more like a gardener, and the result is a weapon Russia can’t destroy, because it has no centre. Moscow has bombed the workshops and factories again and again, and production has never meaningfully slowed, because you can’t decapitate something that has no head.
Ukraine’s new weapon against Russian aggression - the one the whole world now wants to get its hands on - wasn’t Zelensky masterminding a plan and handing it down to the people, like David all alone at the creek collecting rocks and stones. It was thousands of Ukrainians - bankers and hobbyists and analysts and grieving friends - passing stones from hand to hand for eight years, until the whole creek bed became an armoury.

The Giant and the Hive
And Ukraine’s not the only nation that’s right now playing out a modern day version of David and Goliath.
When the United States and Israel jointly attacked Iran in February this year - in what Donald Trump assumed would be a quick smash and grab operation, not unlike the one he’d just pulled off in Venezuela - they discovered quickly that their might was no match for a nation that deliberately built its command structure to be able to lose heads and keep functioning. It turns out that Iran was never really the pyramid it appeared to be from the outside; its theocracy sat like a capstone on a web of groups, each with its own money, and guns, and its own reasons to survive. Kill the leader and the regime continues - shatter the capstone and the web holds its shape. The largest military power on Earth took aim at a pyramid and hit a hive.
So the American giant did what giants do and kept using its force in an attempt to dominate, in response to which Iran pulled a David and picked up a stone in the form of the Strait of Hormuz. Before the war, around 130 ships a day carried a fifth of the world’s oil and gas through that narrow water, but lately it’s been as few as 8 and often as little as just one - it’s been effectively closed since February - resulting in an historic global energy shock and the strange discovery that Iran was holding something more powerful than the weapon this war was supposedly fought to deny it; a twenty-mile-wide stretch of sea, that turns out to be the kind of stone that can bring giants to their knees.
Five and a half months in, the giant’s arm is tiring. The United States is reportedly running low on the Patriot missiles and THAAD interceptors that shield its own forces and allies, with stockpiles being drained faster than the production lines can refill them. All the while, the USS Abraham Lincoln has now spent over 250 days at sea without a port call, because the Navy’s resupply ports have come under Iranian fire and the strait is too dangerous for the lightly-armed supply ships. So the carrier simply stays out at sea, with those aboard being rationed meals and soap, washing themselves in mouldy showers, battling sewage in the passageways, and working twelve-to-sixteen-hour shifts with no days off.
The situation has become so desperate that shipmates have had to physically stop sailors from throwing themselves over the rail - when one made it into the water, officials took four days to inform his wife, who found out first from a shipmate's text messages. The general response from the top of the pyramid is that the reports are “misrepresented,” and that US crews have everything they need, but evidence to the contrary is coming in thick and fast in the form of harrowing personal accounts from those aboard the ship. But still the apex of the pyramid refuses to feel its own base.
Iran, meanwhile, now says it has no further interest in negotiating with this White House and will simply wait out Trump’s term before handing the bill for peace to whoever his successor is - Iran is demanding hundreds of billions in reparations, that frozen assets be released and sanctions lifted, and that American forces withdraw from the region, all while quietly negotiating with Oman to share management of Hormuz, complete with service fees for the ships that pass. Charging the world rent on the giant’s own lifeline.
The world’s greatest superpower put all of its might against a smaller nation that it thought it could intimidate, and found itself outmatched, just as Russia did, and as Goliath once did too. In all the versions of this story, the singular dominating top-down power structure could not defeat the network of many bodies working together inter-connectedly.
It seems the giant is no match for the hive.

The Pyramid and the Network
Everywhere we look right now, it seems big centralised powers are straining, while the networked ones are running rings around them.
Russia’s strong state has proven to be no match for Ukraine’s strong society - an entire people self-organising to out-think a superpower, rendering a trillion-dollar military model obsolete with a swarm of cheap winged things built in people’s garages. In Russia, everything flows upward to one man with no clear successor, and Putin has so entrenched himself in the workings of the state that there’s no mechanism for even choosing one, which makes the strongest-looking structure on earth, in actuality, the most brittle. Concentrate everything into the capstone, and the capstone becomes the single point of failure. Russia has learned this lesson the hard way, multiple times before.
The United States was founded on the learning of this lesson, and was essentially built as the anti-pyramid - a reaction against monarchical structures, with power deliberately split between branches, courts, states and a free press, precisely so that no capstone could ever form. Yet one has, and that capstone has launched a reckless war against Iran that Congress never authorised, that allies weren’t consulted on, and that the American people can’t even say what it’s actually for, which is exactly why their society hasn’t risen to fight it the way Ukraine’s did. A pyramid can command its people’s compliance, but only a purpose that’s genuinely felt can summon a society, and nobody feels a war that exists just to decorate a throne.
Trump is trying to permanently seat himself atop a pyramid at the exact moment history is demonstrating - through Putin, in flames, through the United States, defeated - that the pyramid, in this age, is the structure that fails. Everything that ever made America powerful was network-shaped: the alliances, the institutions, the courts and universities, and the sheer unruly creative strength of its society was the operating system half the world chose to run on. Trade it all for a capstone, and you inherit the capstone’s fate - the single point of failure at the frightened apex that daren’t let its own base feel anything at all.
What made America truly great - not in the red cap sense of the phrase, but actually, demonstrably great - were the principles it embraced two hundred and fifty years ago at its founding; be a hive in response to the pyramid. Now, all these years later, the hive is emerging once again as the optimal operating system, this time as a response to the pyramid America has become, and the one Russia’s always been.
And the sky has been pointing this way for some time, though louder than ever in the week just gone.

The Eclipse of the King
This week, as people in Greenland, Iceland and Spain marvelled at the sight of the Moon sliding across the face of the Sun, plunging the afternoon briefly into darkness, the sky itself was sending a message in the guise of a total solar eclipse in Leo.
Leo is the sovereign centre of the zodiac - the crown so to speak. When an eclipse lands there, it’s the sky marking a page in the story of kings, and the one this week opened a chapter we’ll be living inside for at least the next year or so, because it’s the first of a pair, with its twin arriving in August 2027, burning its path of totality directly over Egypt and the pyramids themselves. The sky does love a good visual aid, and sometimes it’s dazzlingly literal - this week’s eclipse in the sign of the king builds to next year’s falling across the face of the pyramids, signalling to the world that the lights are going out on top-down power, and that something different is about to emerge from the darkness.
But it’s not just this week’s eclipse telling the story. Pluto is moving through Aquarius once again, for the first time since America’s founding, doing now what it did then and stripping whatever it touches down to the bone and composting the dead forms so that something living can grow. Aquarius is the sign of the many - the collective, the network, power held horizontally among equals - so Pluto’s twenty-year passage through it is the pyramid of concentrated power once again collapsing into the hive, as it did the last time Pluto moved through Aquarius when the United States was birthed as a reaction to the British empire.
Every time this planet enters this sign, humanity asks itself why the many should be ruled by the one, and every time, the answer rebuilds the world. Last time the answer built the republics. This time…..well, that’s what the next eighteen years are for, but at the very least, right now we can see what the sky has to say for our world’s ruling giants.
This week's Leo eclipse landed on Russia's Ascendant - the face of the nation itself, redrawn - at the same time as Pluto in Aquarius began leaning on Russia's natal Saturn - the load-bearing wall of the state - where it will strike exactly early next year. America, meanwhile, has Saturn moving into a square with its Sun over the coming weeks - the sky's sternest taskmaster auditing the authority of the presidency itself - while Uranus creeps toward the degree it occupied on the 4th of July 1776. That once-every-84-years homecoming is called the Uranus return, and America has lived through two of them before: the first arrived with the Civil War, the second with the Second World War - both moments the nation was forced to decide what it actually was. The third begins perfecting in 2027, just as this eclipse arc completes over the pyramids of Egypt. The two giants of this story are taking the eclipse of the king directly on their crown points at the very same time. The sky is done being subtle.
What draws these two giants toward each other has nothing to do with ideology, and everything to do with a shared dread of the horizontal: the language of rights, of independent courts, of power that answers downward to the people instead of upward to the throne. Would-be kings recognise each other across any distance - it's why the man dismantling the anti-pyramid keeps seeking out the man who's spent a lifetime perfecting one - and Pluto in Aquarius is coming for the whole family.

Which Way Wins
But just because the hive is not the pyramid doesn’t necessarily make it better, or devoid of corruption or criminality or cruelty. As the world watches two hives humble two giants, it’s clear that both have their flaws in equal abundance to the pyramid.
Iran’s hive was built from above, almost like a pyramid, with its web of armed groups woven through the economy by the regime itself, each strand designed to keep the whole structure alive when a head gets cut, with bonds enforced, and funds taken, and its people sitting outside the structure entirely - a society the network feeds on rather than expresses, and one that has paid for its endurance in tens of thousands of lives. Its version of the hive operates more like a cage, which is the shadow form of what Pluto in Aquarius sometimes builds.
By contrast, Ukraine’s hive grew from below, as its society organised itself upward into the shape of its own defence. Its bonds are voluntary, its money comes from the people, its intelligence comes from citizens with phones, and it exists because millions of Ukrainians feel the same thing at the same time and act on it without being told. But Ukraine still has struggled with internal corruption right throughout the years of war - it may be a hive, but that doesn’t make it perfect. No human system ever is.
Here we have two very different examples of two hives standing over two humbled giants, and the obvious question is which kind will win - Ukraine’s, grown from below, or Iran’s, imposed from above?
Ukraine’s chart carries a tight Uranus–Neptune conjunction - the fingerprint of the year the Soviet pyramid fell in 1991. Saturn is squaring that conjunction right now, testing the founding structure hard, but it’s holding. Jupiter stationing directly on Ukraine’s own natal Jupiter at the end of this year suggests the sky is standing firmly beside this kind of hive.
Iran’s chart tells a very different story - one of endurance granted, but no blessing given. Saturn has sat on Iran’s Sun all year, in the house of death and inheritance, and it strikes that same degree once more early next year. And behind Saturn comes Uranus, the great awakener, moving toward Iran’s Moon. In a nation’s chart, the Moon is the people themselves, and in Iran’s chart she sits in the house of government - so as that conjunction perfects through 2027, the sky describes the people arriving at the palace gates. The cage-hive has survived its giant, but its next reckoning comes from within, because a hive that feeds on its people must eventually face them. The sky seems to be standing beside the hive that is loved…..and has set a clock ticking on the one that isn't.
But in the end, the very question of which kind of hive will win is one posed in pyramid language itself - its premise assumes that there must always be a winner, a dominator, someone standing above another, but that’s precisely the dimension the hive abolishes. A pyramid has a top to fight over, but a hive just has room, so when the capstones come down, what comes down with them is the whole idea of one entity perched over another, and everybody ends up right alongside each other. Nobody wins or loses in a hive - everyone just belongs to it. And that’s precisely why, as everything flattens into the hive, what we feed it matters more than ever.

The Hive and the Heart
A pyramid has a pretty straight forward theory of nourishment: feed the top. The fish rots from the head, and it’s fed from the head too - nourish the leader, the logic goes, and the leader will nourish the people. It’s the basic premise behind Reagan’s “trickle down economics” that Trump turbo-charged into policies he’s now battering America with. A pyramid can watch its own sailors ration mouldy meals at sea while the apex dines, and genuinely believe the structure is healthy, though invariably, in the end it rarely ever is, because in a pyramid, what the top eats stays at the top.
A hive works on the opposite principle, and not just in the metaphorical sense, but biologically too. Bees, ants and termites all practise something called trophallaxis - the mouth-to-mouth sharing of food - which means a colony effectively has one shared stomach. In a famous experiment from the 1950s, researchers fed a handful of forager bees sugar syrup laced with a radioactive tracer, and within a couple of days that single meal had spread through nearly the entire colony - thousands of bees were fed by a mouthful only a few had eaten. A forager doesn’t eat for herself; she carries the nectar home and passes it on, and each bee then passes it on again. In a hive, what feeds one feeds all.
And that’s the hive’s one great vulnerability. Ask any exterminator how you kill termites. You can’t dig up the colony - it lives underground in a thousand chambers with no centre to strike - so instead, you leave out bait laced with a slow-acting poison that’s gentle enough that the forager survives the meal and carries it home, where the colony’s own generosity does the rest, shared mouth to mouth and groomed body to body until it reaches every inhabitant in the hive. The very thing that makes the hive strong - that everything is shared - is the one door poison can walk through. One poisoned member, in time, poisons all.
But the same door swings the other way. Those channels carry medicine exactly as efficiently as they carry poison - biologists call it social immunity, colonies passing antimicrobial compounds and protective microbes through the very same feeding and grooming, effectively vaccinating themselves through contact. One member carrying the cure, cures all.
The pyramids already understand all of this, and are using the knowledge to fight the network that’s replacing them. Russian disinformation seeping toward Germany’s elections next month is termite bait, as clear as day: a slow-acting poison left at the edge of the network for one node to pick up and carry home, spread through our own sharing, our own feeds (kind of amazing that they’re called “feeds” in this context, isn’t it!) And the hive can’t defend itself by sealing shut, because sharing is the lifeblood of the hive, so its only real defence is an immune system: a society that can feel itself well enough to recognise poison when it tastes it, and to pass the antibodies along the same channels - hand to hand, mouth to mouth, heart to heart.
And there it is - the reason the age of the hive and the Age of the Heart are the same age arriving. As the pyramids come down, the individual stops being small. In the flattened world, every single person becomes a mouth of the whole organism - what you feed yourself, what you pass along, what you carry home, feeds or poisons everyone connected to you, which is increasingly everyone. Care for one stops being charity and becomes structural, and the heart’s great teaching - that we can feel what each other feels, and so would no more harm another than harm ourselves - stops being just a spiritual nicety and becomes a plain description of how the new architecture works.
In a hive, there’s no “them” to poison without drinking it ourselves - and the truth is, there never was…..the pyramid just made it possible to pretend otherwise for years.
Living in the Hive
So if the pyramid is falling and the hive is rising, and every one of us is now a mouth of the whole organism, how are we best to proceed?
The first thing we must train ourselves to let go of is the pyramid’s oldest habit of always looking up for every answer. In the pyramid, change comes by petitioning the palace, or hoping for a better king, or voting for a better president who can solve all the problems. The pyramid taught us to believe that change lives somewhere above us, and that our job is to appeal to it…..which is why there’s so much despair around right now, as people shout themselves hoarse at a capstone that’s simply stopped listening.
But the hive has no such address. There’s no president of a hive, and no palace to petition, no single door to knock on. In a hive, power doesn’t live at the top, but in the channels - in what gets passed mouth to mouth, feed to feed, from each of us outward through every connection we have. Which means none of us is powerless, because in a hive, every single member is load-bearing, and every single member is feeding the colony something with every exchange. We can stop wondering who’s coming to save us, and agonising about who to promote into power from the sea of inadequate options, and simply get about the business of using our own personal power to decide what each of us individually is carrying home and feeding through the network.
Because we are constantly feeding it, whether we mean to or not. Every conversation we have, everything we share, everything we buy, every kindness and every contempt - it all gets passed along, mouth to mouth, feed to feed. There’s no such thing as a private meal in a hive. How we hold ourselves in our small corner of the world decides, quite literally, whether we’re carrying poison or medicine to everybody connected to us. And everybody is connected to us, whether we realise it or not, whether we like it or not.
The hardest lesson to learn as we move into the hive is that being handed poison doesn’t oblige us to pass it on. We can decline to forward it and let it end with us. We can address bad behaviour without demonstrating more of it - we can transmute the poison into medicine by letting it pass through the heart, and metabolise it into something that can’t hurt the next person when we pass it on. That’s how a hive builds immunity. Antibodies are just individual bodies that learned to recognise a poison and refused to replicate it. Every time we break a chain of contempt, we’re vaccinating everyone downstream.
Medicine in the hive looks like honesty offered without cruelty. It’s actually listening to the person in front of us with an open heart, and checking what we’re about to share before we share it. It’s care given locally: to our family, our street, our community, the small good things we back with our money and our time. None of that’s incidental - it’s all new world infrastructure.
The hive isn’t rising just as a new political system or a better way to win wars. It’s how everything is going to work from here - our economies, our communities, our friendships, our information, our care for each other. That’s what the sky’s blessing right now - the network over the tower, the hive over the pyramid, the many small lights over the single crown. And a healthy hive runs on a single fuel; not the pyramid’s petrol of compliance, but what passes between hearts.
This week, while the Moon was busy putting out the king’s light, power quietly changed hands from the palaces to us. By this time next year when it darkens the sky again - when the twin of this month’s eclipse falls over the pyramids of Egypt next August - we’ll be further down the road that leads from the pyramid and into the hive, and as we walk that road, day by day, may we anchor in our own hearts, taste before we swallow, and carry medicine through every channel we touch.
So begins the era of the hive, my friends.
So dawns the Age of the Heart.

This was brilliant! What a perfect description of what's happening. I find myself grounding into mycelium. I live in Minneapolis so we definitely are hooked into that hive network. Something substantially changed during the surge and the subsequent connecting of neighborhood to neighborhood. The murmuration, the creating a hive of energy compassion and care. Even now when there is a sound like a whistle, people stop what they're doing and look.
I have a deep sense that as we are moving into our separation of worlds, holding the frequency of light and of the heart is what is going to help us move into our next harmonic hive existence.
Pretty exciting to be alive but also, extremely stressful. It's the time of what I call 'ampersand'- the big AND- it's both things all the time all at once. I appreciate your great gift at being able to distill this ginormous amount of data and energy into something that is easy to understand and digest.
