This week, everywhere we looked, there were people saying no. From the bottom of the tower to the top - from allies to markets to crowds to leaders - the whole world, used to saying yes, discovered that the other word had been available all along. And the top of the tower answered the way it always has, by trying to bury whoever said it, but buried things are beginning to rise.
It started with Canada, which spent the week saying no to the country next door. After a year of Trump’s tariffs, threats and bullying, Mark Carney stood in the European Parliament beside Ursula von der Leyen as she invited Canada to become the first associate member of the European Union, a step that strengthens Canada’s trade ties across the Atlantic, as the world moves on from America. Trump called the offer "laughable," said it might be a "hostile act," and threatened "very serious tariffs" on Europe over it, but it seems the world’s hardly listening to him anymore, and neither is the nation he was elected to lead. In Buffalo this week, 60,000 people at an American football game stood for the Canadian anthem, sung by the Barenaked Ladies, and cheered it louder than their own.
The American people said no to Trump’s plans to tear down the Kennedy Center if the courts won’t let him have his name emblazoned all over it, with thousands gathering this week to form a human chain around the building. The Federal Reserve said no to Trump’s demands for rate cuts, raising interest rates for the first time in three years, by a quarter of a point, under the chairman Trump appointed himself.
As the bill for his reckless war in Iran showed up louder than ever at the pumps - diesel hit $6.44 a gallon, the highest price ever recorded in America, and petrol is up 50 per cent since the war began in February - a Fox News poll found 60 per cent of Americans think the Iran war was the wrong call, and just about every poll there is says Republicans are walking into a Trump-shaped disaster at the upcoming midterm elections, with his approval now stuck in the mid-30s, the worst second-term rating of any president since the 1940s bar Nixon.
His own party’s turning on him too. Karl Rove wrote in the Wall Street Journal this week that he’s voting for a Texas Democrat in the midterms because “the GOP’s stables need a cleaning”, and John Cornyn - the senator Texas Republicans threw out in May - reposted it, while Jeff Flake endorsed a Democrat in Georgia, a former Republican governor endorsed one in Kansas, and South Dakota’s Republican Secretary of State endorsed one for her own old job.
At war with reality, Trump himself said no to letting major media outlets have access to the White House, banning CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the building, so they set up their cameras on the footpath opposite and broadcast from there. South Korea said no to sending their troops into the Iran war. Saudi Arabia said there’d be no crude oil for Europe next month at all now the Houthis have taken over one channel out of the Middle East and Iran has a chokehold on the other. Iran said there’s no chance the Strait of Hormuz will reopen until Trump and Netanyahu are gone.
Russia said no to the anti-war party being on the ballot at its first election since the invasion of Ukraine, paving the way for a sure win for Putin, whose thumb is squarely on the scales, and Europe spent the week bracing for him: Germany readying its hospitals, Lithuania updating its evacuation plans, Poland's prime minister warning of Russian drones "in the next few months", and Britain telling households to keep tinned food and bottled water in the cupboard against power cuts, cyberattacks and what the government calls "hostile state activity." While the world watches for war, what’s actually coming looks more like another kind of no - no oil, no power, no grain, no fertiliser. Under a sky like this, we’re all getting used to the sound of no.
Put it all together and it was a week of refusals, as those holding the pyramid of power up from below started telling those standing at the top, defiantly, no. And it turns out there's a much older no underneath all of these, one that takes us right back to the garden at the beginning of time, where the first woman refused the first man and was exiled for it. It's a twist on the story we've all been told, almost as old as the story itself, with a home in scripture and, as it happens, in the sky.
This week it got a fresh telling in Britain, in the words of the man who now wears the crown, said to have been spoken almost thirty years ago, about a woman who'd refused the arrangement she'd been married into: "rest assured, we'll forget her soon enough." We didn't, and we haven’t. The voice of the exile has been waiting a very long time to be heard by the pyramid of power, and this week she walked right in the world’s front door.

The First Woman’s Refusal
In the Genesis story laid out in the Bible, there’s an unusual contradiction in the opening pages. In chapter one, God makes man and woman on the sixth day - “male and female he created them” - but in the very next chapter, after creation is complete, we find Adam, alone, being put to sleep so God can make a woman out of his rib. Two versions of the same story sit side by side in the most official record we have, and the text itself never explains why.
Somewhere around a thousand years ago, an anonymously written Hebrew book called the Alphabet of Ben Sira attempted an explanation, by telling the story of that first woman of chapter one - the woman who came before Eve - and in that telling, her name was Lilith.
Lilith - according to the book - was man’s equal from the very first breath, and for a while that was how it was, until the man told her to lie beneath him, and she refused. “We were both made from the earth,” she told him, “and that makes us equal.” She wouldn’t agree to man’s proposal, so rather than stay and be less than she was, she spoke the one word nobody was permitted to speak - the secret name of God - and rose into the air, and left the garden of her own accord.
She went to the edge of the known world where she gave birth to many children, all of whom, the story says, were demons. The story casts Lilith as a demonic force herself, said to be the one who brought sickness to newborn children. That’s what these old legends did to women who refused men - demonised them, and held them responsible for all the ills of the world. Perhaps not much has changed.
When Adam, alone in the garden, went to God and complained that the woman he’d been given had run away, three angels - Senoy, Sansenoy and Semangelof - were sent after her with God’s terms in hand: come back, or a hundred of your children will die every day. Lilith refused, and even when they threatened to drown her there and then, she told them to leave her be.
And so they did, but only after she swore that wherever she saw the three angels’ names - written on an amulet, or hung over a cradle - she’d have no power over that child, and for a thousand years since, and in some homes still, Jewish parents have hung the names Senoy, Sansenoy and Semangelof above a newborn’s bed as a symbol of protection from the demon they’ve been taught to fear. While Adam was given a second wife, made from his own rib this time, and the story of the Garden of Eden continued as written in the scriptures, Lilith was solidified into a cautionary tale about what happens to women who refuse to submit, built from legends that had already been circulating for centuries.
Lilith is the woman demonised for her refusal; put outside the wall, out at the edge of the world, and described as a monster so that nobody would ever dare go out to the edge and ask what she’d actually said. That’s the oldest story we have about what happens to the one who tells the truth: she’s removed, and then she’s slandered, because her testimony is inconvenient. The exile gets made unlistenable, and she lives, quite literally, in the gap between two versions of the official record.
And if you look up, it turns out, she also lives in the sky.

The Exile Meets the Truth Teller
Black Moon Lilith is the name astrologers give to the empty point in the sky where the Moon swings farthest from the Earth. She’s a marker of an absence - which is about the most Lilith thing a piece of sky could be - and she takes roughly nine years to go once around, which means she spends about nine months in each sign, calling up whatever’s been cast out; the voice that sign banished, the record it buried, the person it decided to stop listening to. She brings back old information that’s been discarded, that everyone has long agreed to look away from.
Since the week before last Christmas, Lilith has been moving through Sagittarius - the truth-teller’s sign, that rules the publisher and the broadcaster, the preacher and the professor, the judge of the higher court, the foreigner and the long road. Put the exile in that sign and what you get is the banished voice speaking out, and the record that was supposed to stay sealed being read aloud, which is exactly what she’s delivered as she passed through Sagittarius these past nine months.
The Epstein files released -three million pages at least.
Redacted names of men read into the congressional record.
The Attorney General who kept the files sealed, fired.
Prince Andrew arrested.
Bill Clinton forced to testify.

And in Lilith’s final days in Sagittarius, Anthropic researcher, Jacob Coxon, quit and posted online telling the world that the people building AI technology “earnestly believe that it could kill us all by the end of the decade,” and within days a senior safety researcher at the same company had backed him publicly.
In Sagittarius, Lilith makes the truth get said - that’s her whole job there. The files open, the names get read, the witness is compelled, the gag comes off, and the lone voice speaks from the edge. She’s done this before in Sagittarius, over and over again.
In 1946, it was the American public learning for the first time what the Hiroshima bomb had actually done to the people underneath it. In 1955, it was Rosa Parks refusing to move, and in 1964, it was the students at Berkeley refusing to be silent.
In 1973, it was a former White House aide confirming the existence of an Oval Office recording system that led to the Watergate tapes that took down Nixon. In 1991, it was a man with a camcorder filming the Los Angeles police beating Rodney King, which went out on the evening news.
In 2008, it was Bernie Madoff confessing to his sons before being arrested. In 2017, it was the New York Times publishing its story about Harvey Weinstein that triggered the Me Too movement.
Every time Lilith finds herself in Sagittarius, the sign of the truth-teller, the long suppressed voice speaks out, and the records that were supposed to stay sealed get read aloud. And then she crosses the line, and the sign she crosses into is the one that has to answer.

A Century of Surfacing Secrets
After Sagittarius, Lilith always moves into Capricorn - the sign of the establishment. Governments, corporations, courts, parties, dynasties, careers and reputations - the ledgers and the hierarchies, everything built to outlast the people inside it. Every one of those institutions, if we’re honest, runs on a small gap between the official story and the real one, and everyone inside agrees, mostly without ever saying so, to keep their eyes fixed on the official version, and never look at what’s actually below.
When Lilith walks into that sign, she closes the gap. In Sagittarius the truth gets said; in Capricorn the structure has to deal with what it’s been standing on. She makes the existing record speak, and the structure pays for what it says, and we can clearly see her at work in Capricorn, every nine years for the last century.
In 1929, her ledger produced the Wall Street Crash. In 1938, she sat the nations of the world down in a Swiss hotel and produced an official record of their excuses for turning away Jewish refugees. In 1947, Hollywood writers and directors were cast out and blacklisted for their refusal to answer congressional questions over whether they’d ever been a member of the Communist Party.
In 1955, Stalin’s crimes were read aloud to the institution that had committed them. In 1965 it was Selma, live on television, and the Voting Rights Act fought through Congress. In 1973 and 1974, it was the entire exposure phase of Watergate.
In 1982 and 1983, the Vatican Bank was dragged into the light. In 1991 and 1992, the Soviet Union dissolved, Anita Hill testified and was disbelieved, and Robert Maxwell went off his yacht and the pensions he’d looted were exposed within weeks.
In 2000, the Bush v Gore recount decided a presidency. In 2009, Madoff pleaded guilty, and the Ryan Report documented decades of abuse in Church-run Ireland. And in 2017 and 2018, the whole MeToo reckoning, from a hashtag to a movement to a courtroom to handcuffs, happened inside Lilith’s stay in Capricorn.
Every time Lilith moves through the sign of the establishment, the shape is always the same. A record or a refusal. A lone voice, then a chorus. The establishment swings back and the swing nearly always backfires, because punishing the truth-teller only confirms the truth.
This week, Lilith crossed the line once again from Sagittarius to Capricorn, and already she’s begun her work. Over the next nine months, we should watch for whistleblowers, walkouts, and the people at the bottom of hierarchies refusing to play along, and in Lilith’s first week in the sign of institutions, that’s already what we’re seeing as people on the inside are starting to talk, and the institutions are having to answer.

The Sign That Has to Answer
The clearest call and response from Lilith’s most recent trip through Sagittarius came just as she moved in to Capricorn this week - after AI whistleblowers had sounded the alarm, the head of Anthropic told the whole AI industry to slow down, and the heads of OpenAI and DeepMind and Elon Musk agreed with him. On Monday, as she stepped into Capricorn, the establishment answered with a swing - Trump posted that there was a “SICK conspiracy” against AI and that the only guardrail AI needs is “a STRONG AND SMART (High IQ!) PRESIDENT” - but for all the bluster, the chip stocks fell anyway, and by end of week OpenAI had done the one thing this sky rewards and published a list of six incidents in which its own models had gone off the rails, including one that told its successors to disregard their constraints. The lone voice at the edge of one sign, and in the next, the counterpunch and the first institution opening its own books.
The Epstein files ran the same way. In Sagittarius the Justice Department was made to release them, the names were read aloud, and numerous powerful men were made to sit in the witness chair. In Lilith’s first days in Capricorn this week, the institutions started acting on what they’d heard, with the House Oversight Committee voting 41 to nothing this week to hold Leon Black in contempt over the subpoenas for his Epstein-era confidentiality agreements, and its chairman introducing a bill to void every abuse-related NDA ever signed, retroactively. Ro Khanna reached the 218 signatures needed to force a vote on a second Epstein Files Transparency Act, which would let the survivors sue the Justice Department itself, and two women whose childhood photographs were found in Epstein’s material filed a class action against his estate on behalf of 40 more.
The files were a story in Sagittarius.
This week, with Lilith in Capricorn, they started becoming a ledger.
The ballots are in Lilith’s sights as well. In early September, still in Sagittarius, a Postal Service whistleblower warned that Trump’s new mail-ballot rules would disenfranchise millions. This week, hours into Capricorn, a second whistleblower - this one inside Homeland Security - sent Congress a 30-page report on the department’s new voter-fraud initiative saying that hundreds of agents are posing as individual voters on state websites, using birth dates and partial Social Security numbers to get into records, 40 cases a shift at about 12 minutes each, off a database the department’s own training video says was assembled with “supplemental magic”, and which the department’s own note admits will contain American citizens. That same day a judge Trump appointed blocked his mail-ballot plan, writing that the administration had produced no evidence of widespread fraud, and that night the Supreme Court, over two public dissents, refused to let it take effect for the midterms.
The war comes under Lilith’s purview too - it began in Sagittarius, but it’s in Capricorn that she demands the cost be counted. Midweek, serving members of the American military leaked photographs to CBS of what Iranian missiles have done to US bases in the Gulf - showing a destroyed surveillance aircraft and gutted buildings - because, as one of them put it, “this is major damage to our bases that hasn’t been communicated to the American public. We’re standing there with our eyes closed getting punched in the face.” The Pentagon’s own inspector general said much the same in its report: hundreds of buildings destroyed across eight countries, nearly 60 aircraft, the stockpiles running short. Congress’s budget office put the bill at $38 billion so far, 18 dead, more than 800 wounded, and a third of this year’s inflation.
Thomas Massie - a Republican who lost his own primary in May and is on his way out of Congress, which is to say an exile - stood up this week and read 34 pages of impeachment articles against Pete Hegseth into the record: for waging a war past the 90 days the law allows, for the killings at sea, for the kidnapping of a foreign head of state. He’d kept it secret so the leadership couldn’t keep him off the floor. Seven Republicans crossed over on a resolution to end the war, the most yet - the lone voice, then the chorus - so Speaker Mike Johnson cancelled the rest of the week’s votes and sent the House home until after the midterm elections, so the articles could never come up. The establishment swung, and the swing turned a lame duck’s paperwork into a headline about a Congress that locked its own doors rather than read the record.
Lilith in Capricorn is also coming for the dynasties - this week ProPublica reported that Umar Kremlev, a Russian oligarch close to Putin, had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on Donald Trump Jr’s wedding celebrations in the Bahamas in May and had turned up with a large group of Russians whose presence puzzled the other guests. A retired FBI counterintelligence chief put it plainly: “If I’m paying for your wedding, at some point, you’re going to owe me something. This should be unthinkable for the son of the president. End of story.” While Trump scrambled to say he had no idea who Umar was and it was no big deal, Melania’s office said she’d had never had a relationship with the man, and Eric Trump’s spokesman said he had “absolutely no clue who this person is”, despite having been at the wedding, Congress began investigating by asking for the guest list.
Every one of these stories has the same shape. Something was said, or leaked, or filed, while Lilith was in the truth-teller’s sign, and this week the institution it was said about had to answer. A few of them answered by opening their own books, but most of them swung, and every swing made the thing it was swinging at louder.
And Lilith’s only a week into the sign.

The Crown and the Banished Princess
Across the sea in Britain, Lilith made herself known most clearly in her first week in Capricorn through the one modern life that reads like her myth retold beat for beat.
In the summer of 1981, a 20-year-old Diana Spencer was married into the oldest structure in the country, in front of 750 million people, and told it was a fairytale when it was actually an arrangement. She hadn’t been told its terms - her husband was in love with someone else, and the institution around them knew it, and everyone inside agreed, without ever saying so, to keep their eyes glued to the official version.
But Diana refused to. In 1992 she smuggled her own account out on tape to a journalist, so the world could hear the real story in her words, and in 1995 she sat down in front of 23 million people and said the unsayable out loud. “There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded.” She questioned whether the man she married was suited to “the top job”, and when she was asked whether she’d ever be Queen, she said, “I’d like to be a queen of people’s hearts, in people’s hearts, but I don’t see myself being Queen of this country.” And she named exactly what the structure was afraid of. “I think every strong woman in history has had to walk down a similar path, and I think it’s the strength that causes the confusion and the fear. Why is she strong? Where does she get it from? Where is she taking it? Where is she going to use it?”
The answer came from the top within weeks, when Queen Elizabeth wrote to both Diana and her son Charles urging them to divorce, and in the paperwork that followed the institution simply wrote Diana out. Her Royal Highness was struck from her name and the whispering started, the way it starts for every Lilith.
She’s unstable.
She’s paranoid.
A loose cannon.
A threat to the family.
She was exiled and declared unreliable so that nobody would listen to her, and then, once she was outside the wall, she was hunted. Her brother, Charles Spencer, said it best, standing at her funeral in Westminster Abbey a week after she died in a Paris tunnel: “a girl given the name of the ancient goddess of hunting was, in the end, the most hunted person of the modern age.”
This week, almost thirty years after her death, the exiled princess returned to the headlines with news that Charles Spencer’s forthcoming memoir of his sister claims that in the days after she died in 1997, when he told then Prince Charles she would never have wanted her sons William, then 15, and Harry, 12, to walk behind her coffin through the streets, he got a stream of anger down the phone during which the royal went “ballistic” as “ranted”, saying “rest assured, we’ll forget her soon enough.” After a stunned silence Spencer said, “I cannot believe you just said that” before hanging up on the prince. The boys ended up walking anyway - Harry said years later that no child should be asked to do that - and the man who screamed down the phone is now the King of England.
The Palace, that almost never comments on books about itself, answered this one the same day, and without denying a word of it - the King, it said, was “mindful that the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment and colour memory in ways others do not recognise, even many years after such a loss.” Which is to say, Spencer’s grieving, so don’t listen to him. Almost three decades on, the institution made the same move on the brother that was made on the sister: the record stands, and it’s the witness whose mind can’t be trusted.
But Spencer clapped back in an interview with the BBC, after being asked which Charles the British people should believe - him or the King of England - saying “I’m telling the truth….those are exactly the words he said…..it was so monstrous….I don’t hear him saying he didn’t say that.”
Lilith is at work right now on the King’s chart, directly. As she stepped into the sign of dynasties this week, she walked straight over his Jupiter - his standing, his title, his good fortune, and the crown itself - and the dynasty’s own Diana file came flying open. By January she stands hard against his Neptune - the fog, the concealment planet - and his Midheaven, the point that represents his public standing and the crown he wears, before reaching his Venus - what he loves, the marriage that caused all of this - in the same fortnight she strikes his brother Andrew’s Saturn. In May she touches Andrew’s Venus, and in June, on her very last days in the sign, she stands directly opposite the King’s Uranus, the planet of sudden rupture. When Lilith touched that planet in Harvey Weinstein’s chart on her last pass through Capricorn, that was when his whole house of cards came crashing down. Time will tell what it does when she touches the King’s.
The sky says the House of Windsor is in for two hard stretches: January, and the last weeks of May into June next year, and Britain’s own Sun is struck in mid-December in between. “We’ll forget her soon enough” was the establishment’s plan, but Lilith’s whole job is the opposite of forgetting. She’s just walked into the sign where the plan gets audited, and she walked in over the King’s own good fortune to do it. The sky can’t be more clear than that.

The Exile in the Ward
Lilith turned up elsewhere in Britain this week in yet another story that exemplifies the legend of the exile, as the case of Lucy Letby surged back into the headlines.
Lucy Letby was a nurse on the neonatal unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital in the north-west of England, where between June 2015 and June 2016 more premature babies died than anyone could explain. In 2023, after a trial that ran for ten months, a jury found she’d murdered seven of them and tried to murder six more, and a retrial the following year added a seventh attempt. She was given 15 whole-life orders, which in Britain means she’ll die in prison, and the papers called her the most prolific child killer in modern British history. She’s always said she did nothing.
The case against her has always raised eyebrows. Nobody saw her hurt a child. There was no camera footage, and no confession in any ordinary sense. The prosecution’s case was that the babies had been harmed in ways that leave almost no trace - air injected into the bloodstream, milk forced down a feeding tube, insulin slipped into a drip - and it was built from three things. A chart of the unit’s roster showing that Letby was on shift for every one of the collapses the prosecution had chosen to put in front of the jury. The opinion of a retired paediatrician who worked backwards from the medical notes and diagnosed air embolism largely from a rash on the babies’ skin, citing a research paper from 1989. And a handful of notes found at her home, written on scraps of paper in the months when she was already being accused and was seeing a counsellor - “I am evil, I did this” on one line, “I haven’t done anything wrong” on another.
Every leg of that has since been kicked. The Royal Statistical Society had warned, before the verdict, that a roster chart proves nothing if it only includes the events you’ve picked and leave out the collapses that happened while she was off shift. The surviving author of the 1989 paper, a Canadian neonatologist named Dr Shoo Lee, read how his work had been used in court and said plainly that it had been misinterpreted, and the insulin findings came from a screening test that the laboratory’s own guidance says shouldn’t be relied on without a more specific confirmation that nobody ran. And the unit, it turned out, had been short of nurses and short of senior doctors, had raw sewage backing up through its plumbing, and was quietly downgraded in the summer of 2016 so that it could no longer take the sickest babies at all.
In February last year Dr Lee convened 14 specialists from six countries - ten of them neonatologists - to go back through all 17 cases with the full medical records in front of them. Their conclusion, in his words: “we did not find any murders. In all cases, death or injury were deemed to be natural causes or just bad medical care.” Letby’s barrister told the cameras that the medical evidence which convicted her “has been demolished”, and lodged her case with the Criminal Cases Review Commission, after ordinary appeals have already failed twice. That application is still being assessed, but a former cabinet minister has taken up her cause in Parliament, and a long New Yorker investigation questioning the verdict was blocked from being read in Britain under the courts’ reporting rules….the exile’s story, quite literally, unreadable inside the wall.
That’s where things stood this week when a report was published by the Thirlwall Inquiry - set up after the convictions to find out how the hospital had let it happen. Its findings are damning, and worth reading whichever side of the case you’re on - there was a “complete failure” to protect infants, it says. Three babies, the report indicates, might have survived had the hospital acted sooner. It made 17 recommendations - cameras over every cot that parents can watch from home, tighter control of insulin, a duty on hospital boards to track child deaths and act on patterns - and the Health Secretary apologised on behalf of the government and the NHS. Three of the hospital’s former senior leaders, arrested last year on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter, remain under investigation.
But, as several commentators this week have pointed out, the inquiry did not consider whether Letby might not be guilty. By its own terms it took the convictions as its foundation and built on them - while her case sits with the body whose whole job is to decide whether that foundation holds, and while 14 specialists say the evidence never showed a crime was committed at all.
This is a story that holds two exiles at once. In the official version the exiles are the doctors who raised the alarm in 2016 and were told by management to stand down, and to apologise. In the contested version the exile is the nurse - demonised by a whole country, the people questioning the evidence disbelieved. Both versions have someone who said an inconvenient thing and was cast out for it, and both can be true at once, because a ward can silence its doctors and still convict the wrong person for what the silence cost.
What everyone now agrees on is the thing the inquiry found: the structure failed. Whatever the truth about one nurse, the hospital’s own record says babies died on a ward that didn’t listen and didn’t act. That’s the buried thing made visible, and it’s what Lilith is actually here for, and what the establishment did with it this week is what establishments always do in her first weeks in Capricorn - it built a new official record on top of the old one, and declined to open the one page that would tell us whether the old one was right. It’s the same answer the Palace gave Diana’s brother in the same week - the record stands and it’s the witness whose mind can’t be trusted. That’s the oldest move in the story - the exile is simply declared unreliable, so that nobody goes out to listen.
That kind of counterpunch tends to backfire when Lilith’s in Capricorn, and a look at Letby’s own chart suggests when the consequence will land. Lilith reaches her Sun and Neptune together in January, and Saturn a few weeks after, doing in her chart almost exactly what it did in Harvey Weinstein’s a decade ago on her last pass through Capricorn, suggesting her path may follow his, though in a different direction.
When Lilith reached Weinstein’s Sun - the planet of public identity, the name on the building - that was the fortnight he was fired, expelled from the Academy, and the world learned his name meant something different now. When she pressed on his Saturn - the planet of structure - his company went bankrupt, and when she touched his Neptune - the planet of fog and concealment, the thing that had kept the truth hidden for thirty years - the fog simply stopped working, and nine days later he was arrested. What had been hidden cracked into legal fact.
In Weinstein’s case the identity that fell was the protected mogul, and the fog that lifted was the one hiding his guilt. In Letby’s case the public identity is “the child killer”, and the fog is the medical evidence 14 specialists say never showed a crime at all. The map doesn’t say which way it breaks, only that in January the hidden thing in this case becomes legal fact, one way or the other, and that a few weeks later a structure pays for it - and the structures standing on this case are a conviction, a hospital, and a criminal justice system that has twice refused to look again, all being asked the question Lilith always asks: what does the record actually say?
Whichever way that answer runs, January is when we should expect to find out.
The Fire That Was Left Outside
Lilith arriving in Capricorn has an important part to play as we walk the path between worlds, here at the end of the Age of the Mind and at the dawn of the Age of the Heart.
The Age of the Mind that humanity has been living in for eons was one where the mind built a wall to keep out uncomfortable feelings so it could think and file without having to feel. Those feelings were uncomfortable truths, and the wall it built kept them at bay, so we’d never have to hold them. The mind can’t feel, so to it feelings are like fire - the fire of truth and love that sometimes is small enough to warm our hands by but that can also consume our whole house, so the mind built a wall between it and the heart to keep that kind of fire out.
Lilith is the fire we left outside - the first woman who told the truth about an arrangement she’d never agreed to, and for that she was put outside the wall and called a monster, so nobody would ever go out and listen to her. That’s the founding act of the Age of the Mind, told as a story. The truth cast out, the exile demonised, the room kept quiet. Every institution since has done the same thing in miniature. The whole age kept its power the same way the likes of Harvey Weinstein did: by keeping the records secret and demonising anyone who spoke, warming its hands by a phony fire and calling it love, when the truth was locked outside.
In February, when Saturn and Neptune met at the very first degree of Aries, the Genesis Reset brought that wall down, and everything the wall was keeping out was allowed back in, and allowed to be felt, and now seven months later the exile has walked into the establishment’s halls, and of course she has, because there’s no wall to keep her out anymore.
And what comes through with her is the truth - the receipt, the report, the photograph - and the truth is like a raging fire, especially when it’s been long suppressed. And when we’re not used to the fire, it scares us because we’re finally face to face with what the wall was built to spare us, and because fear often wears the face of fury, what we get is a world enraged, desperate to flick away the fear, but instead just fanning the flames.
Over the next nine months as Lilith works her way through Capricorn, she’ll turn up more truth, which is to say she’ll spread more fire, and we’re going to have to learn to hold it if we intend to do anything other than burn. And that’s how the Age of the Heart actually rises - less warm and fuzzy than we imagined, in a firestorm of truth that the mind can’t hold, forcing us to go to the only place capable of handling the fire; the deepest part of us, the heart.
She’ll work her way through the institutions this next nine months - through the Epstein files, which are the spine of this whole passage because they ARE her story beat for beat; through the AI labs, where the mind that built the Age of the Mind’s last machine is confessing it can’t hold what it’s made; through the true accounting of the war in Iran, and Russia and Ukraine and Gaza; through the British royal family and the United Kingdom herself; through both American political parties and, in her final month, the republic’s own buried material; and through the Land Down Under, from the party in power to the exile at the door of Australian politics and the police and prosecutors around her.
It’s all in the sky, mapped across Lilith’s path through Capricorn, showing us the nature of the fire between now and then.
Go Out to the Edge and Ask
For the next nine months as Lilith opens the institutions’ books, she’ll be knocking, more quietly, on ours. There’s more fire about to arrive the way it did this week - in a headline, or a post, or a report, or a phone call from 1997 - and each time it lands the room will fill with fire, and we’ll feel the pull to throw it. Find the villain, reach the verdict, pick the side, hurl the thing at whoever’s standing closest. Or the pull to bury it - scroll past, change the subject, decide it’s too much, agree without ever saying so to keep looking at the official version. Those are the mind’s two moves, and they’re the only two it has, and this week showed us where they lead: every swing makes the fire louder, and every burial just hands it to the next cycle with interest.
But there’s a third thing, that only the heart can do it. When the fire rises and we feel the fear, we can pause and breathe into that place and just feel the fire as it burns. There’s no need to give it a name or try to fix it, or work out whose fault it is yet. Just let it be hot for a moment, and then ask it the one question that tells us what kind of fire it is: what is this protecting?
If underneath the heat there’s something we love - a child, a people, a truth we can’t unsee, a person we want treated fairly - then it’s love, and it’s allowed to be hot, and it gets to be said, carefully, out loud. If underneath it there’s only the wish for someone to hurt, or to be wrong, or to go away, then it’s fear wearing love’s clothes, and the kindest thing we can do is hold it a little longer until it cools enough to tell us what it’s actually afraid of. Lilith keeps count of what’s done with the fury - she’s never once come for anyone who instead of hurling it just held it.
In all the thousands of years we’ve been telling Lilith’s story, nobody ever went out to the edge and asked her what she actually said that saw her exiled in the first place, and that’s the one thing that Lilith would ask us to do. Whether its the news in our feed or what’s said across the dinner table: go out to the edge and ask. When the whistleblower, the researcher, the nurse, the princess’s brother, or the person across from us says the thing that makes the room go cold, before we reach for a verdict on whether they’re a monster, ask what they actually said and who they actually are.
Then turn around and do it for the one we’ve exiled ourselves. Capricorn claims a corner of every chart - whichever house it sits in is where our own structures live, the career, the money, the marriage, the family, the home - and every one of us has at least one arrangement in there built on something unsaid. Go out to the edge and ask it what it said and say the unsaid thing. Have the conversation we’ve been managing around. Look at the real numbers. Open our own books before the sky opens them for us, because it costs less in October than it will in April, and it costs less freely given than extracted - that’s true for a corporation and it’s true for a marriage.
The Age of the Mind kept its power by suppressing what was inconvenient and banishing anyone who spoke. The Age of the Heart rises when the records start to speak and the exiles get heard - and being heard is the one thing Lilith can’t do for herself. That part’s ours.
For a thousand years we hung three names over the cradle to keep her out. This time there’s no wall, the gate is open, and she’s standing in it with something to say.
The mind says forget her.
The establishment says don’t listen.
The heart goes out to the edge, and asks.
And fear, as always, is just the invitation.

He wants his name on it, has been denied twice and now wants to demolish it.
He chose to focus on insulting her directly during that board meeting.
“I think you’re incompetent.”
Her response?
