June 18, 2026: To the ones still learning to belong to themselves
Today we send the light of our love to those who strike out with courage and then quietly wonder if they had the right

Dear friends,
Each day, we gather here - hearts from every corner of the globe - to share a breath, a quiet pause, and send the light of our love into a dark world.
Today we send the light of our love to those still learning to belong to themselves
To the ones who have spent years - sometimes a lifetime - negotiating with their own existence. Those who strike out with courage and then quietly wonder if they had the right. Who begin things boldly and then wait for someone to confirm the beginning was permitted. Those in the long slow work of learning that the self does not need external authorisation to be real. We send our love to those who are, today, perhaps for the first time, considering the possibility that they have always been enough to begin.
May the wound complete its long teaching
I claim myself without waiting for permission.
I honour the courage it took simply to be here.
I release the need to justify my existence to anyone, including myself.
I let the long work of healing arrive at its natural resting place.
I am not a wound in search of a cure.
I am a being in the process of becoming whole.
I belong to myself, fully, today.
The Permission You Were Waiting For
It has been a long road.
The courage it took just to show up as yourself.
To begin, to claim, to say '“I am here” without immediately softening it.
That has cost something real.
You have been doing this work longer than you know.
Today something is completing.
Not with a fanfare.
Just a quiet, solid settling.
The wound that made you question your right to exist is finishing its lesson.
You don't need to graduate loudly.
Just notice: you are still here.
And you are not asking permission anymore.
Today, the sky holds its breath before the threshold
Today, Chiron - the great wounded healer - sits at the final degree of Aries, on the very threshold of Taurus. It has spent eight years here, moving through the wound of selfhood: the courage to begin, the right to exist, the pain of striking out and not being met. Tomorrow it crosses into Taurus and the healing moves into the body, into the earth, into what we build and what we value. But today is the last day of that long Aries chapter. The Moon is warm in Leo, Venus glows in the aftermath of yesterday’s depth, Mercury is soft and feeling-forward in Cancer, Jupiter barely moving - concentrating its nourishment like honey. The whole sky is in a held breath between what was and what comes next.
This is a day for acknowledging how far you have come before the next chapter begins.
If you would like to listen to this Daily Lighthouse as an audio meditation, you can head over to Hudson’s Resonance Room where he set these words to music in a powerful sonic activation.
See you tomorrow morning!

I feel like a kid in the backseat of the family car yelling "Are we there yet?" Which brings to mind my sister's visit close to three decades ago. We're walking to my two-year-old grandson's daycare. She says "Are we almost there yet?" I reply, "See that large red brick building down the street?" (It's in the distance, barely visible.) "Yes," she says. "Well that's not it." Next time she asks, same answer. Off now to meditate, not self-medicate. Hope everybody has a great day... here on the threshold.
Goodness .. and how … literally moving out tomorrow and into unknown ..
