To the ones who’ve been going round and round the same story for weeks, and this morning noticed it had gone quiet. To those who can feel a new way of seeing something beginning to form, still too young for words. We send our light to everyone at the still point of a long rethink, and to those finding unexpected grace in the people around them, a kindness offered right when it was needed. The mind has been turning things over. Today it rests, and something new settles in.
May the new thought find room to grow
I let the old story fall quiet.
I make space for an idea I haven’t had before.
I receive kindness without explaining why I need it.
I give generously where I can.
I trust the slow work of changing my mind.
The still point
Something in your thinking is turning over today.
You might not feel it yet.
Stop arguing with yourself for an hour, and see what arrives.
Accept the help that’s offered.
Offer a little of your own.
New understanding grows quietly before it’s ready to be said.
Today, the mind is made new
Mercury, the planet of thought and words, has been retrograde in Scorpio since late October, going back over old conversations and buried things. Today it passes directly between us and the Sun, the heart of its retrograde, where one cycle of thinking ends and another quietly begins. It’s a day for listening for insight, and saving the announcements for later. Venus, retrograde in Libra, also flows sweetly with Jupiter in Leo, so there’s grace in our relationships and generosity in the air. The Moon in Virgo makes easy contact with both the Sun and Mercury, which helps the new thought find a practical shape.
This is a day for letting the old story go quiet, and welcoming the new thought as it arrives.
