Each day, we gather here - hearts from every corner of the globe - to share a breath, a quiet pause, and send the light of our love into a dark world.
Today we send the light of our love to those making peace with the fire still burning
To the ones ready to begin again with someone, and honest enough to admit the old heat hasn’t gone anywhere. To those who want closeness and want their own way in the same breath, and are finding the two don’t fit as neatly as they’d hoped. We send our light to everyone planting a seed of peace today, and to those learning that real peace makes room for the fire. It sits close enough to be warmed. That’s the whole art.
May the peace I make be warm enough to be true
I begin again, and I bring the whole of myself to it.
I want closeness and I want my own way, and I hold both without shame.
I let the friction show me where the love is.
I make an accord, heart to heart, and I let it be imperfect.
I plant something new in honest ground.
Peace with the fire in it
A new chapter opens today in how we meet each other.
So begin it with the truth.
Leave the smoothing-over for another day.
The tension you feel with the one you love is the love, asking to be handled with care.
Say what you want.
Hear what they want.
Sit down on the same side of the fire, and start from there.
Today, the sky plants a seed of peace
A New Moon in Libra opens a fresh cycle in relationships, balance and the way we make peace, with each other and between nations. It’s the first New Moon since the Sun faced Saturn last weekend and showed us what was stone and what was paper, so whatever we plant now goes into more honest ground. The same day Venus, newly retrograde in Scorpio, squares Mars in Leo, so desire and will pull in different directions: the old feeling against the new fire, wanting closeness against wanting our own way. Sparks fly, in the good way and the other way, and it’s worth telling the two apart.
This is a day for beginning again in love, and giving the fire a hearth.
