Dear friends,
Each day, we gather here - hearts from every corner of the globe - to share a breath, a quiet pause, and send the light of our love into a dark world.
Today we send the light of our love to those whose words are sharper than their hearts
To the ones with a cutting reply already loaded, who know exactly where the other person’s soft spot is and are one breath away from pressing on it. To those on the receiving end today, stung by something said in a hurry. We send our light to everyone standing in the heat of an argument that’s really about something else, where the anger is loud and the fear underneath it is doing all the talking. The blade in the mouth is a frightened thing. It can be set down.
May the fire find the hearth before it finds a target
I feel the heat rise, and I don’t throw it.
I ask what I’m afraid of before I ask who’s to blame.
I say the true thing without the sharp edge.
I let my actions be guided by something kinder than my temper.
I hold the fire long enough for it to tell me what it’s protecting.
Hold it, don’t throw it
Something in you wants to win today.
Notice it.
The hot word will feel like relief for exactly as long as it takes to land.
Then the fire’s in someone else’s hands, still burning.
Take a breath before the reply.
Find where the heat sits in your body, and stay there a moment.
What’s underneath is far more worth saying.
Today, the sky puts an edge on the tongue
Mercury in Scorpio squares off with Mars and then with Pluto, and that’s a recipe for sharp words, power plays and the kind of argument where somebody’s set on winning. It’s an easy day to say the thing that can’t be unsaid. Look a little higher, though, and there’s grace in the sky too - Mars in Leo is in easy flow with Neptune, so action guided by compassion, or by a dream bigger than the fight, comes naturally if we let it. And the Moon drifts from chatty Gemini into tender Cancer, so the mood softens as the day goes on.
This is a day for keeping the fire in the hearth, and letting the heart choose the words.
