Dear friends,
Each day, we gather here - hearts from every corner of the globe - to share a breath, a quiet pause, and send the light of our love into a dark world.

Today we send the light of our love to those remembering the ones who came before
To the ones who set a place at the table today for someone who isn’t coming, and feel them there anyway. To those whose house is full of memory this weekend, the old photographs, the recipes in another hand, the voice they can still hear if they’re quiet. We send our light to everyone remembering the ones who came before, and to those who carry a grief that’s older than they are. The veil is thin today. Whatever’s on the other side of it is closer than it looks, and kinder.
May the ones who came before feel my love
I remember, and I let the remembering be warm.
I honour the hands that made the home I’m standing in.
I let the old grief sit at the table with the old joy.
I listen for the ones who’ve gone, and I trust what I hear.
I carry them forward with me.
The thin veil
Today the past is close enough to touch.
Let it.
Cook the old recipe.
Light the candle.
Say the name out loud.
Grief and love are the same thing wearing different faces.
Let them both sit with you.
Home is where the remembering happens, so stay near it.
What came before you is holding you up.
Today, the sky turns toward home and memory
The Moon’s in Cancer all day, the sign of home, family, roots and the mother, and it flows with Mercury, retrograde in Scorpio, the planet of words looking back into the deep, so memory runs strong and the past feels near. It’s Halloween, the old feast of the thin veil - Samhain in the north and Beltane in the south - and the sky agrees: a Cancer Moon under a Scorpio Sun is the ancestors’ weather. There’s nothing exact in the sky, and the Moon’s waning toward tomorrow’s Last Quarter, so the mood is quiet, tender and full of the ones who came before.
This is a day for remembering with love, and letting the past sit at the table.
